YARNSWARP: The Fibre Co. Meadow (40% merino wool, 25% baby llama, 20% silk, 15% linen; 545 yds/100 gm skein): queen anne’s lace, 2 skeins.PATTERNING WEFT: The Fibre Co. Road to China Lace (65% baby alpaca, 15% silk, 10% camel, 10% cashmere; 656 yds/100 gram skein): rhodolite, 1 skein.TABBY WEFT: Jaggerspun Zephyr (50% merino wool, 50% silk; 1120yds/100 gm skein): vanilla, 1 skein.

WARP LENGTH214 warp ends, 3 yds long. (allows for 6” take-up, 28” loom waste, 10” swatching/sampling).

SETTSWARP: 16 epi (1 - 1 - 2 / dent in a 12-dent reed)WEFT: 18 ppi patterning, 18 ppi tabby

DIMENSIONSWIDTH IN REED: 13.25” (33.75 cm) AFTER FINISHING: 12.75” (32.5 cm) width, 66.75” (169.25 cm) length, not including fringe.

NOTESWhen threading the 210 ends, you will work the 62 ends of the pattern repeat 3 times, and then the first 24 ends once more. When weaving the scarf, you will work the pattern repeat 16 times, then work the first 48 picks of the repeat once more.

DIRECTIONS 1 / WARPWind 214 warp ends, 3 yds long. Use your preferred method to warp the loom. Set aside 4 ends (2 on each side for floating selvedges. Thread following the draft on p.3. Sley ends 1 - 1 - 2 per dent in a 12 dent reed for a total of 16 epi.

2 / WEAVEWind 1 shuttle with the patterning weft and 1 shuttle with tabby weft. Begin by weaving 3 picks in plain weave with tabby. Follow the treadling in the draft on p.3. End by weaving 3 picks in plain weave with tabby.

3 / FINISHUsing tabby yarn, finish end with hem stitch. Remove scarf from loom, leaving at least 5” of warp for fringe. Finish starting end of scarf with hem stitch. Soak in cool water and wool wash. Blot dry in a towel, and lay flat to dry. Trim fringe to 3” (7.75 cm).
