SealS The deal” By: Victor Delcid
Princeton NJ– With a two day total of 709
team Morocco played great and took
home this years Pete Consoli Cup. Team
captain Allie Tumminello had this to say
about her teams performance and the vic-
tory, “I am so proud of my team, I spoke
with each of them this morning and re-
minded them of their duty to their team.
Each player had ups and downs but in the
end it was their heart that brought us
home the win. Thank You to my team, to
our competitors and to everyone at
Springdale who made this years event such
a great one.”
Team Morocco really kicked it into
gear during the back nine today, The ag-
gregate format can really make or break a
team and with an average score of 76 team
morocco made huge strides as the average
score for the day was over 81.
While it was peaches and cream for
team Morocco some other teams did not
fare well at all. Coming in 5th place was
team Scotland, apparently the playing cap-
tain idea wasn't the best choice. The big-
gest story though may have been the near
comeback. Team Poland started the day
10 shots back but just go nipped in the
end coming up two shots back. Congratu-
lations to team Morocco and everyone for
making the 13th Annual Pete Consoli Cup
such a great time.
With great score of Nine under par (169) for the two days of com-
petition Mr. Glen Fries and Mr. Rusty Szurek were able to take
home the cup. Both players played great and the team relly nailed
home the vicotyr during the aggregate format. With a score of
68the team surpassed all other teams by three shots on their way
to victory.
