In this issue, we feature a beautiful co-working space by Mumbai-based RED Architects that combines ergonomics with a café-like vibe. An Indian born designer now settled in Vietnam opens up her home to us, showcasing some of the finest traditional furniture, furnishings and artwork sourced across South-East Asia.
Nepal is now home to Taj Safari’s first international property at the UNESCO World Heritage listed Chitwan National Park. Rooted in its surrounding and incorporating the work of several local artists, the property called Meghauli Serai showcases Nepal beyond the clichéd hill resorts. In Bengaluru, The Open Box, a new all day dining restaurant by Sanctuary Architects is creating waves with its out-of-the-box design: a wall displaying the world map in faux grass, suspended tables and swings, and workstations with an inviting view of the city make for a very creative environment.
Architect Sanjay Udamalen shares his experiences and tips for institutional design. We also explore Smart Offices, its components and design prerequisites with tips from experts. And for those who missed the Salone del Mobile held in Milan this year, check out our feature with products that caught our eye. And finally, Switzerland’s newest trending restaurant Saltz in Zurich designed by Rolf Sachs, interestingly hosts a massive rock suspended from the ceiling, mountaineering ropes on the ceiling, a salt wall, and many more such design elements.

I love the restaurant scene in Bengaluru and love the way you feature the décor. I think in restaurants, the décor is just as important as the food and you nail it by bringing us the best designed restaurants across the country. Sotally Tober in Bengaluru featured in the last issue was awesome. Hope to see many more like those.
Ashwini Prayag, Bengaluru
CW INTERIORS is my favourite magazine when it comes to hospitality spaces. I love the way you feature luxury and eco-friendly spaces in tandem and also bring out innovative use of materials. Sotally Tober by FADD Studio and St Regis Macau were both beautifully featured in the May issue. I also liked the product features and the special foam furniture you featured. CW INTERIORS certainly has an edge over the other magazines in the market.
Dheeraj Singh, Delhi
The lighting feature in the May issue was exactly what I needed to convince my clients to opt for LED lights over CFLs inspite of the higher initial investment. You must do many such stories so the clients can get a multiple person input since the well informed
project owners don’t trust anyone, not even their designer.
Ami Shah, Mumbai
I was so disheartened to know that my favourite architect Zaha Hadid passed away at the age of 65. I love her curvy structures and she in my opinion is probably the only architect in the world who is bold enough to do something different. Thanks for the lovely tribute article on her in the May issue. Each and every word in the article is true and all those structures a beautiful memory of her genius.
Disha Mehta, Mumbai
CW INTERIORS has a lovely international format which makes browsing through it very
easy. Every project is unique and has a message to deliver. The material charts are a great help and the global articles are simply out-of-this-world!
Dhruvi Thakkar, Mumbai
If I had to pick one Indian design magazine for referring to my client, it would be CW INTERIORS. Your projects are interesting and while they are lesser in number they are detailed and the photographs are nice and clear. It would be lovely if you could have more homes featured in the magazine.
Yash Patil, Mumbai
CW INTERIORS has always showcased creativity alongside logic and thus I like the magazine and its projects. It’s almost like you handpick projects that though interiors are relevant to architects. The Leads section is also useful for architects to be aware of which developer is doing which project with which architect.
Niharika Jayram, Bengaluru
Co-working spaces are the future of offices since they offer good infrastructure without large investment. It’s interesting to see CW INTERIORS featuring such innovative work environments.
