SPN will begin to email final report cards to families ofstudents in grades K-7 tomorrow, June 1, 2020. We willsend one grade level at a time. If you have more than onestudent in more than one grade level, there may be a longperiod of time between receiving report cards.
If you did not come to the exchange of student materialsand school materials last week, please call the schooloffice to set up a time to exchange. Any student who hasnot returned all materials to SPN will not receive a finalreport card until all items are returned.All financial obligations from the 2019-2020 school yearare expected to be met as soon as possible.

After much deliberation, it is with heavy hearts that thefair committee has made the decision to cancel the 2020May Fair. Up until this point we had hoped to reschedulethe fair at some point this summer but, it seems now thiswill not be feasible.We are starting the process of refunding everyone for thefair T-shirts. Venmo payments will be reversed and sentback to you. If you paid with a cash or check we will bein touch with you to get you your refund. Please [email protected] with any questions.We are looking forward to May Fair 2021 which will becelebrated April 30-May 1, 2021. Our theme will be “SPNGoes Country” and the artwork of Kayden Dempster will befeatured on our shirts. With all of this extra time toplan the 2021 May Fair will be something you don’t want tomiss!! Anyone interested in joining the award-winning SPN Band. No experience isrequired, but WHY NOT get a head start on playing an Instrument? Our BandDirector, Ms. Claire Conti teaches ONLINE LESSONS, and is now acceptingnew students. For many years, just one 30 minute lesson per week has provento be very effective. 3rd through 7th graders are eligible to join Band. Barberito Photographers Inc. (BPI) is very happy to announce that we will be re-opening our studio for missed graduation and promotion portrait opportunities! BPI has registered with the OpenSafely project with the Louisiana Department of
Public Safety. Please note that the re-opening is subject to change based on theGovernor’s orders. Here is how this process will work: 1) Parents who wish to schedule a portrait session within our studio must pre-purchase a portrait package online using the link below. Purchases within the studioare prohibited. All sessions will be verified for proof of purchase before the portraitsession.2) Once you have pre-purchased a package, a link will be included within youremail order confirmation to schedule your appointment session.3) Please select one of the available dates and times.4) Sessions are limited to 10 minutes.5) Only one parent is allowed to accompany their child in our studio.6) We politely ask that parents please take the proper precautions wearing masksand gloves. If children wear a mask, please be mindful of imprint lines on their facesbefore the portrait is taken.7) Graduates who are taking Cap and Gown portraits must arrive with their own baselayer of clothing. Boys must wear their own white button-down shirt and girls musthave some form of undershirt. Barberito Photographers will only provide the Cap,Gown, and Tassel. Cap and Gowns will be cleaned with Lysol Disinfectant betweeneach session.8) Parents, you are more than welcome to provide your own Cap and Gown for thisportrait session if you would feel more comfortable. Furthermore, if you would liketo opt-out of the Cap and Gown portrait program and take a session in your child’s“Sunday Best” we welcome that as well.9) Upon arrival, please remain in your vehicle and call our office at 504-455-6818. ABPI representative will escort you to the studio once the previous session has left thebuilding. There will be a brief check-in once entering our office. Please maintain 6 ft ofdistance while in the studio.10) Appointments that arrive late will have to wait for a gap between scheduledsessions. Cancellations must be made known at least 24 hours in advance. Please callour office and speak to a BPI representative to make a cancellation. “No-Shows” willnot receive a refund on the portrait order. A “No-Show” session willhave one opportunity to reschedule their session to a later date. Two “No-Shows” willresult in a zero refund and zero opportunity for re-scheduling.

After looking over the necessary restrictions that will need to be put in place for
youth camps this summer, and considering the logistics of how our musicaltheatre camp operates, we have decided to cancel our drama camp for thiswe have decided to cancel our drama camp for thissummersummer out of the utmost of caution for everyone involved, as well as tomaintain the integrity and quality of the program.
The nature of the camp and of a live musical performance means a lot of closecontact with others as well as large group numbers, which goes against certainsafety guidelines.
Those who have registered will be contacted directly. If you paid with check, nochecks have been cashed at this time. If you paid with cash, refunds will beissued.
We look forward to next summer and hope that we can bring "The Music Man"to the SPN stage very soon!
