    Historic Perspective

At the end of XIX century B.L.Yavorskyestablished the link between the vocalside of the verbal speech and

expressiveness in music. Investigations led the scientist to

revealing the concept of intonation. It isprecisely the intonation i.e. the vocal sideof the verbal speech that is the maindecisive factor of its expressiveness.

    What is

    INTONATION?

Hearing is guided by the presence orabsence of the intonation

of rising and lowering, increase and decrease,

    quickening and drawling,

joining and dividing, respites and stoppages.

Hearing defines mood or the generalcontents of the conversation

Performance of the same dramatic playby different actors produces differentimpression solely due to reproductionof the words of this work in spite of the

appearance of the actors, their mimicand plastic acting.

And even separate persons posses the

ability to pronounce one and the sameword repeatedly giving it anotherexpression

With all the hype surrounding convergence, content, mobility, and multimodality, the

single most powerful application that unifies

and clarifies all forms of communications

is the sound of the human voice.

    And finally

When you speak, your voice speaks in ways

that go far beyond the words themselves. Avariety of voice qualities convey feeling, moods

    and attitudes.

When George Bush ran for president in 1988, hehired a voice coach to help him lower his voice an

octave. Why? Because the candidate's high-pitched voice had helped saddle him with the"wimp" image, even though Bush had proved his

valor as a Navy combat pilot during World War II.
