Choose From Eleven Programs & Earn a CertificateCertificate programs prepare students for state, county and city employment in most areas of landscape management such as park administration, state or county agriculture inspecting, and grounds supervising. In the private sector, graduates find jobs in agri-sales and service, retail and wholesale nurseries, greenhouses, landscape design and contracting, landscape management, golf course/sports field management, and irrigation.

Students who attend full-time can complete any of these majors in three semesters and one or two summer sessions. If you have questions, please visit the Horticulture Unit at MiraCosta College or call (760) 757-2121, ext. 6491.

Certificates of AchievementAgri-Business ManagementThis program involves the application of business concepts to the horticulture and agriculture industries. Because of the wide selection of courses, a broad range of occupational choices are available to graduates. These include positions in banking; sales and marketing; federal, state and county government; brokering; packing houses; and supermarket produce manager. The core is designed to provide students with the basic functions of business and the application of principles and practice to the agri-business industry. A selection of courses allow students to tailor course work to their particular interests.
