Nossal High School Instrumental Guitar and Vocal teaching job descriptionsNossal High School is an academically selective co-educational government school for highly able students in Years 9 -12. It is located on the grounds of the Berwick Campus of Monash University in Clyde Road Berwick. To service increasing demand, we are seeking to employ the following additional sessional music teachers to further build our emerging music program.

Sessional Vocal Teacher:

Nossal High School seeks an accomplished, innovative and vibrant vocal teacher to join their instrumental teaching team at the beginning of semester two. The position is approx. 4hrs a week with potential for growth. Teaching duties will include individual and group tuition to both female and male students in years 9-12. The chosen applicant will possess high-level skills, knowledge and experience teaching both classical and contemporary vocal styles. The teacher will need to demonstrate an ability to work as a team member and an understanding of the secondary school system and VCE. Experience in choral conducting and concert preparation is also highly desirable.

Sessional Guitar teacher:

Nossal High School seeks an accomplished and enthusiastic guitar teacher to join their instrumental teaching team at the beginning of semester two. The position is approx. 4.5hrs a week with potential for growth. Teaching duties will include individual and group tuition to students in years 9-12 as well as the guitar ensemble that rehearses once a week. The chosen applicant will possess high-level teaching skills across a wide range of musical genres, including rock, jazz and classical and will foster notation reading within lessons. The teacher will need to demonstrate an ability to work as a team member and an understanding of the secondary school system and VCE. Experience arranging music for and leading ensembles, is desirable.
