It is a very good idea to keep a folder for any child who has aproblem with language and vocabulary.

These pages provide you with a range of vocabulary sheets tostart you off. These are just a few of the sort of topics thatchildren cover in

Yr R - Yr 4. You can easily make extra pages to suit yourself.

Choose pages that link into the topics being covered in school.

Keep your pages in a pocket display book which will hold 40sheets. You can then revise earlier topics so information doesn'tvanish!

The forces that make music.

Wind makes manymusical instrumentswork. Here are some.You can try and makea noise by blowinggrass, or throughtissue on a comb.

Plucking is like pulling.Some instrumentswith strings needplucking or pulling.You can putrubber bands round anopen box and pluckthem too. Try fat andthin bands.

Hitting is a bit like aquick hard push. Someinstruments have to behit. You can tap onempty tins, bits ofmetal pipe, or bottleswith some water in,with a stick.
