This is nothing farther from the truth as an ethnically diversified development, you have always displayed deep compassion and have been in the forefront fighting for the rights of the residents. In addition you provided funding to ensure Vladeck Houses would obtain Security Camera's. Councilmember Chin has visited our senior center, attended our family days, danced with member of the community regardless of ethnicity or religion. I condemn this grass roots organization as simply gaining their 5 minutes of fame in the press, sadly it took time away from more important issues from the needs of the residents to respond to such a frivolous and defamatory allegation. The Vladeck Houses is a development of 1,773 families - we have supported Councilmember Chin and will continue to support her especially against these disgusting allegations. Dear Council Member Chin;

On behalf of the Residents Association of Vladeck Houses, I find it disturbing and absolutely appalled at this group National Mobilization Against Sweatshops, publicly stating you are a racist.

This is nothing farther from the truth as an ethnically diversified development, you have always displayed deep compassion and have been in the forefront fighting for the rights of the residents. In addition you provided funding to ensure Vladeck Houses would obtain Security Camera's.

For the record Vladeck Houses is 66% Spanish, 10 % African American, 8% Asian, 6% Russian 4% Muslim and 6% other. With such diversity how can you call Councilmember Chin a racist.

Councilmember Chin has visited our senior center, attended our family days, danced with member of the community regardless of ethnicity or religion.

I condemn this grass roots organization as simply gaining their 5 minutes of fame in the press, sadly it took time away from more important issues from the needs of the residents to respond to such a frivolous and defamatory allegation.

The Vladeck Houses is a development of 1,773 families - we have supported Councilmember Chin and will continue to support her especially against these disgusting allegations.

Sincerely, Nancy Ortiz, President, Vladeck Houses & Vladeck Houses II Residents’ Association
