INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY

Financial statements are meant to present the financial information of the

entity in question as clearly and concisely as possible for both the

entity and for readers.

Financial statements for businesses usually include: income statements,

balance sheet, statements of retained earnings and cash flows, as well as other

possible statements.

The process of reviewing and evaluating a company's financial statements,

thereby gaining an understanding of the financial health of the company and

enabling more effective decision making.

Financial statements record financial data however, this information must

be evaluated through financial statement analysis to become more useful to

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Textile industry has the greater significance in India. But still there are

certain problems are faced by textile industry in India.

SRI REGUPATHI SPINNERS is facing two major problems one is

electricity consumption second one in machineries.

The electricity charges are now increased then mainly power cut timingsare also too increased so more number of working times the machineries

are idle.

Second the mill has only two new machines that is Blow room with waste

collection and RSP, others are old machines that consumes more

maintenance charges. They has fund problem to purchase new machineries with latest

technologies.

To analyze the financial performance of the company.

To measure the profitability of the company.

To study the liquidity of the company.

To analyze growth and performance of the firm.

NEED OF THE STUDY

This study is used to identify the trends and relationship between financial

statement items.

Both internal management and external users (such as analyst, creditors,

and investors) of the financial statements need to evaluate a companys

profitability, liquidity, and solvency. The most common methods are used for financial statement analysis are

trend analysis, common-size statements, and ratio analysis.

These methods include calculations and comparisons of the results to

historical company data, competitors, or averages to determine the relative

strength and performance of the company being analyzed.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY

The scope of the study is the find out the financial performance of the SRI

REGUPATHI SPINNERS For the past five years.

A sincere attempts has been made to include all the aspect related to the

study for this purpose analysis of financial performance of the company hasdone from the last five years published financial statements and all aspect

of the researcher should be included in the report.

This study is an arrangement of conditions for collection and analysis of

data in a manner that aims to combine relevance to the research purpose

with economic in procedure the research design employed for the study is

analytical in nature.

In the analytical research, the researcher has to see the facts and

evaluation on the material.
