Condensing technology maximizesfuel utilization and reduces yourheating bills. By capturing the portionof latent heat, which in conventionalheating boilers is lost through thechimney, condensing boilers, like theVitocrossal 300, use as much as98% of the original energy input toheat your building.
Environmentally-friendly
Apart from economic considerationscondensing technology also minimizesthe environmental impact of theheating system. Better fuel utilizationmeans lower fuel consumption andconsequently lower emissions.
Due to their high efficiency and lowenergy consumption, condensingboilers, like the Vitocrossal 300, cancontribute to green buildingcertification, such as the Leadershipin Energy and Environmental Design(LEED) program.
The right choice for new construction
or renovation
Condensing boilers can be used in avariety of temperature applications inboth new construction or retrofits.
A condensing boiler, however,provides the most benefit inapplications with low operatingtemperatures, such as radiant floorheating, snowmelting systems,oversized radiators and fan coils. Thelow boiler supply and returntemperatures of these systemsfacilitate the condensing of the fluegases and extraction of additional,latent heat, resulting in peakefficiencies and maximum energysavings.
In systems with medium to highoperating temperatures, condensingboilers combined with outdoor resetcontrol technology, are still able toachieve high efficiencies, especially inthe shoulder season. The combinationof a condensing and non-condensingboiler is often used in multi-temperature systems to satisfy thevarious temperature requirementsmost effectively.
Today, the use of condensingtechnology is almost a given,especially in new construction whenthe temperature requirements of thesystem and can be matched perfectlywith the boiler.

The Inox-Crossal verticalheat exchanger surface is made ofhigh-grade SA 240-316 Ti stainlesssteel - ideal for condensingapplications.Corrosive condensate simply drainsdownward off the smooth surfaces,effectively self-cleaning the heatexchanger and extending theoperational life of the boiler, whilereducing maintenance costs.

Single-boiler systems
The Vitotronic digital control systemensures the economical and reliableoperation of the entire heatingsystem.
The modular technology based on theViessmann platform strategy enablesessential components and functionsof the Vitotronic control units forresidential systems to also be usedfor medium and large heatingsystems. Common features include unifiedoperation and simple installation,start-up and maintenance with theRast-5 plug-in system and plug-and-work functionality.
The standardized LON bus enables asimple and complete integration intobuilding management systems (BMS).The Vitocom 300 communicationinterface also allows for remotecontrol/remote monitoring of theheating system.
Vitotronic 100
The Vitotronic 100, GC1 digitalsetpoint boiler control is designed foroperation with higher boiler watertemperatures in single-boiler systemsor for the first to fourth boiler inmulti-boiler systems (in conjunctionwith the Vitocontrol-S, CT3 cascadecontrol).
Vitotronic 300
The Vitotronic 300, GW2 digitalboiler control is designed for single-boiler systems with modulating boilerwater temperatures. It also providescontrol for two further heatingcircuits with a mixing valve. In caseof multiple heating circuits withmixing valves, a maximum of 32Vitotronic 050 mixing valve controlunits can be connected using theLON bus.
Vitocontrol-S, CT3
The Vitocontrol-S, CT3 is a digitalcascade control for operating up tofour boilers in conjunction withVitotronic 100, GC1 controls and upto two heating circuits with mixingvalve.This control also supports directconnection to the LON bus for controlof up to 32 Vitotronic 050 mixingvalve control units. It provides all known controlstrategies for multi-boiler systems andallows easy integration into BuildingManagement Systems (BMS) withoutan additional interface.Additional heat generators can alsobe integrated.
Custom control panels
Custom control panels for residentialor commercial applications aredesigned and manufactured byViessmann to suit any customer’sspecific requirements.
