dean and then appointed as dean following a national search. Had previously served as
Director of the Kabacoff School in the College of Business Administration. Responsible
for overseeing the AACSB accredited College that includes undergraduate programs in
the Department of Accounting (a Program of Distinction at the University holding its own
AACSB accreditation in addition to the College of Business AACSB accreditation and
resulting in placement in the top 2 percent of all programs internationally), Department of
Economics & Finance, Department of Management & Marketing (also includes the
undergraduate Health Care Management program), and the Lester E. Kabacoff School of

Center for Economic Development, the Institute of Real Estate Research. Serve as
Director of the Division of Business & Economic Research, and the Hospitality Research
Center (a renowned Louisiana Board of Regents Center).

Served as Department Head and Associate Professor of Hotel, Restaurant, Institution
Management & Dietetics at Kansas State University. Programs overseen included a
Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, a Ph.D. in Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional
Management, Bachelor of Science Didactic Program in Dietetics and Bachelor of Science
Coordinated Program in Dietetics.
Also served as Chair of the Graduate Curriculum; Person-in-Charge of the Grace M.
Shugart Lecture Series; and member of the Kansas State University Leadership
Committee, a group comprised of twelve leaders representing the university and
community. The Leadership Committee initiated progressive programs to advance the
university and community.

INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Completed and signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with Hebei University o
China in October 2019. The MOU included three programs from the College of Business
comprised of the MBA, Master of Science in Finance, and Master of Science in Health
Care Management. I also included in MOU the Master of Science in Computer Science
from our College of Science and the Master of Public Administration from the College of
Liberal Arts and Education.
Initiated and achieved a sister city agreement between Putian, China, and the city of New
Orleans. Both mayors signed the agreement effective May, 2019. The agreement seeks
collaboration on healcare, port activity, and culture.
Facilitator for the session “Opportunities Abound: Navigating Investment Opportunities
Through the One Belt One Road Initiative” at the Louisiana Trade Week on November 5,
2018. Panel members included Saadia Sultan, Sultan Global Group and the Houston lead
for Asian Americans in Energy, Environment and Commerce, Rashanda Johnson,
Business Development for Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) in
Washington, D.C. and Stanley Su, Boad Member of the Asian Chamber of Commerce of
Louisiana.
Organized and led a Leadership Summit in Chengde, China. The international leadership
group included with Chengde city officials and representatives from the new Bio-
Innovation Medical Corridor in New Orleans and representatives from the Innovation
Corridor in Chengde. I also invited and achieved attendance of the CEO of the National
Coalition on Healthcare from Washington, D.C. June 2018. He presented at several of
the meetings.
In charge of the oversight of the research leading to the dissertation of Jiang Chou,
doctoral student from Hebei University. Fall 2017 and spring 2018 semesters.
Host for 10 faculty from Putian University, China, visiting the College of Business
Administration at the University of New Orleans for fall 2017 semester.
Completed and signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with Tianshi Tianjin
University, Putian University and Heibei University. The MOU’s focus on joint transfer
programs at the 3 universities. Visited Tiangin, Beijing, Putian, and Shanghai, China.

the Counselor of Education, Culture, and Science from The Netherlands Embassy, the
Honorary Cunsul of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and
Plenipotentiury of Suriname, and the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea.

Fall 2007-Spring 2008. Initiated paperwork and successfully procured H2B Visa workers
from China to work in the hotels in the Greater New Orleans area. Worked directly with
hotels in placement and training of the workforce.

Louisiana Restaurant Association, the Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging
Association, and the Board of the New Orleans Metropolitan Convention and Visitor’s
Bureau. Presented on June 20, 2008. The event was televised.
Creator, organizer, coordinator and planner for the Hospitality & Tourism Summit held in
the Morial Convention Center of New Orleans held on October 2-3, 2007. The Summit
assessed the state of the industry in New Orleans and initiate key steps in the
revitalization process. Members of the Summit included CEO’s and Presidents from the
New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau, New Orleans Marketing Corporation, the
Superdome, Armstrong Airport, Mardi Gras World, New Orleans Hotel and Lodging
Association, Louisiana Restaurant Association, Louisiana Symphony, Louisiana
Orchestra, the Arts Council, New Orleans Restaurant Association, Morial Convention
Center, and others. The Summit resulted in the largest and most comprehensive meeting
of hospitality and tourism leaders across multiple segments ever held for New Orleans.
Planner and coordinator of the 2007 Business Seminar “The Hospitality Industry:
Restoring the City’s Jewell.” The Seminar brought together the leaders of the New
Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation, the Board of the Ernest N. Morial New Orleans
Exhibition Hall Authority, the Greater New Orleans Chapter of the Louisiana Restaurant
Association, the Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association, and the Board
June 2007.
Coordinator and planner of the Business Seminar “The State of the Hospitality/Visitor
Industry: One Year after the Hurricanes of 2005”. In response to the request to replicate
the forum presented on August 6, 2006, this Seminar was conducted three weeks later.
The Seminar was presented on August 30, 2006 with the New Orleans Convention
Visitors Bureau, the Greater New Orleans Hotel and Lodging Association, and the New
Orleans Restaurant Association.
Creator and organizer of the Summer 2006 Business Seminar for the College of Business
of the University of New Orleans. The Seminar topic was The Hospitality Industry –
Restoring the City’s Jewel. The Business Seminar was held in conjunction with the
