earth can encounter Jesus and His kingdom.
Why Visual Media? Why
Now?
#1
Because God Hard-Wired Us As
Visual Beings
Brain Rule #10
Vision Trumps All Other Senses
68% of the brain that deals with sensory input is dedicated to vision
So your audience is literally much
more “receptive” to visual media than any other
input
Brain Rule #9
Stimulate More of the Senses
Why Visual Media Why
Now?
#2
Because audio/visual media enables those
who otherwise couldn’t to be Gospel
witnesses
Fluency• People wishing to reach out to
refugees, immigrants and foreign students

Why Visual Media? Why
Now?
#5
Because the cost/ease of video distribution opens the world to you!
So…• Have any of you ever received
an e-mail with a link to a video to check out?
• Have any of you ever been on Facebook or Twitter and checked out a video mentioned there?
So…• How many of you have ever
forwarded or sent out a video link either by e-mail or by social media?• How many of you have
posted a video on YouTube?
Then…
YOU’RE ALREADY DOING VIDEO DISTRIBUTION

Get Your Feet Wet
#1
Pick a Bible story, download the pictures from Distant Shores Media, record audio of the story, and combine the pictures and audio into a video using PowerPoint 2010 or Microsoft Photo Story 3 (free)
Get Your Feet Wet
#2
Watch the videos at www.How2Video.org (approximately 30 minutes total) and either use the equipment you already have or buy a cheap video recorder and give full motion video production a try.
Remember, all that you’re aiming for is something
that is five minutes or less and looks
(and sounds) decent on a 4” mobile phone screen
Realize that even Stephen Spielberg’s
first attempts at video probably stunk

One Last Thing
Always think through how someone watching your video can be enabled to take another step towards faith in Christ and membership in the body of Christ. Including appropriate follow-up information is a minimum!
For the earth will be filled with the
knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the
waters cover the sea.
