Hanging Details

When hanging Bottoms use an open face hang, as shown, to show all

features front and back

With Product facing forward the hanger hook forms a question mark

Merchandising Note:

Front of Garment Facing Left throughout the Space *This is ideally the Key Account Hanging procedure. Boutiques often use a different strategy which is fine as based on their preferences.

When product is warehoused as shown, the front of the garment with Alternative label faces Left. Shown is a “boutique” hang showing multiple skus creating a cohesive look for the customer *Boutique/Specialty Accounts vary in their preference.

Mannequin Detail 101

Mannequin 101:

Ideally No More Than 5 Skus On One Mannequin; Top + Fleece+ Bottom + Necklace + Bag = Fabulous! **These Are Your Silent Salesman And Need To Be Stylized And Accessorized To Your Best Ability To Represent the Alternative Customer. Mannequins should be changed out weekly or at best, each store visit. • Always tuck tags • Always remove or relocate sensors • Never use product that is not fully stocked • Feature newest receipts

Window Display

Basics Of A Great Window Display • Pyramid effect or stepping creating a high focal point and working down in steps. Your eye follows the flow and is easy to understand. You have 2.5 seconds to grab the attention of A customer on the street. Make it count! • Product: feature newest product ensuring full size runs are available. Never highlight product in a window that you only have a limited size range • Props: they should compliment the product and not overwhelm. We are selling clothes after all. • Profits: product displayed in a window typically has a higher sell thru. • Change out mannequins weekly, especially in windows that get direct sunlight to avoid product damage • Make sure your windows are CLEAN and DUST free • Less is more….

Color Theory

Ideally Product is Hung Light to Dark Left to right as shown above. This is a general rule as applies to Basic Merchandising Standards

Add in a pop of color if available

Keep same styles/skus

together Do not merchandise all one

color product together Mix product to create an outfit in a wearable color

palette

Sale Product? Option: Pull out any piecey product 2 or less of a sku and add to sale rounder. Option: If one color of an existing sku goes on sale, keep it all together within a full price story.

Here are two examples when choosing color palettes for either wall, table or rolling rack presentations.

Boutique Propping Concepts

Propping is meant as a visual layer and set in place to compliment the clothing, not over power it. Terms to think of when choosing props; vintage, rustic, up-cycled, repurposed…..
