These VRHS Senior Photographers & Sponsors have contracted with Vista Ridge High School to meet the yearbook specifications and deadlines. Please schedule your appointment no later than July 31.

Most photographers offer their best prices early in the summer. Portraits taken by these VRHS Senior Photographers & Sponsors are not

subject to yearbook handling fees.

Senior Portraitsoptions

Option 1 Use one of the Senior Photographers & Sponsors who have contracted with Vista Ridge to create this once-in-a-lifetime portrait for you. They will ensure that your portrait gets to us on time and meets our yearbook specifications.

Option 2

If cost is a concern, consider Option 2. Have your portrait taken at school by - Mrs. Beck (Yearbook and Digital Photography Teacher). We have scheduled the following days as options: Saturday June 6 - 8:00-11:00amThursday June 20 - 8:00-11:00amFriday July 10 - 8:00-11:00am You must RSVP to the email below at least 48 hours in advance to insure a time and spot and to take advantage of this option email: [email protected] These photos will be taken outdoor on VRHS campus, or location of Mrs. Beck’s choice, or inside in our school studio with a black background, it will be taken in the outfit that you wear to school - no outfit changes as there is a limited amount of time. A few photos of each student will be taken to ensure that we receive a great portrait. The yearbook photo will be chosen by the photographer, then professionally retouched and turned in to the yearbook for you.

Option 3

Use a family friend or photographer not listed as an VRHS Senior Photographer & Sponsor under Option 1. A $25 handling fee will be due to the yearbook when you submit your photo, should you choose Option 3. (Make checks payable to Vista Ridge High School). Meeting the deadline, and ensuring that the photo meets yearbook specifications, become your responsibility. See specifications in the next column. Be sure that you know whether your photographer will submit the photo for you or whether you will need to deliver it to the yearbook room G114.

Guidelines and Submissions All senior photos must follow these guidelines

The Vista Ridge High School - Ridgeline yearbook staff encourages you to include your senior portrait in next year's yearbook. We will not use the student ID photos this year which are taken at registration sessions in July, so you will need to provide a separate portrait to the yearbook staff.

We want the portraits in the senior section to convey a certain sense of dignity and consistency, so please be conservative with your yearbook portrait. If you go to a professional photographer, we recommend that at least one of your outfits or poses be fairly modest or business-like. The yearbook Adviser and Editors reserve the right to determine whether senior portraits meet our guidelines and will be printed in the yearbook. We will ask students with photos which do not meet the guidelines to submit a different portrait in a timely fashion. For an example of an apporaite photo please refer to the first page of this packet.

Guidelines:Please follow these guidelines:- Please provide a waist-up pose; - No head-and-shoulder or full body poses for the yearbook. - Photo "MUST BE VERTICAL" see (examples on first page of packet)- The senior should be centered in the photo, facing the camera, with both eyes visible.- Senior clothing and jewelry must follow school dress code guidelines. - NO revealing clothing, spaghetti straps, strapless dresses or excessive cleavage. Straps should be visable in photo. Please

watch out for hair, again straps must be visable. - Only VRHS Jerseys are acceptable, but please no sports equipment. - No props (no animals, costumes, hats, sunglasses, cars, weapons, sports equipment, musical instruments, foreign objects

or additional people in photo). - Simple, uncluttered background (whether indoors or outdoors). - Photos MUST BE in Color; no black & white or sepia. No soft focus. No vignettes.- Images should be at least 2 inches wide x 3 inches tall, with a resolution of 300 dpi.

Submissions:- Please submit your senior photography by following the directions listed under option 1. If you are unable to do so please

submit your senior photograph by following the directions listed under option 2. Both options should be submitted on or before October 2, 2015.

Option 1:Please log on to the follow herff jones website: hjeshare.com and then enter our school code 16056. Follow the directions

on screen to enter your senior photograph and senior quote (take a photo of your senior quote to submit it.) This is the fastest and most accurate way to submit your senior photo, plus you get an email conformation of submission.

Option 2:Bring a CD or flash drive to G114 with your senior portrait and quote • Name the digital file to include student name Last and First (ex: BeckLinda.jpg) • Digital Files should be placed on a non returnable flash drive or CD with students name clearly visible. • Senior quotes should be placed into a word document and placed onto the flash drive or CD clearly marked with the

students name and senior quote.
