With the advent of new technologies ever developing in the modern world,

the Internet has now became a powerful source of information. Again

likewise with the printed zine, a voice can become apparent through the

means of a blog, social media and websites. Yet again mass consumerist

culture and the system still consistently tries to dictate its users towards

their own moral structures. Again a rather significant point to consider

within a subculture as it is constantly involving through a matter of

principle. The online writer can now access and further develops the com-

municating capabilities amongst a further developed culture.

“ Blogging is a highly individualistic activity. What people blog about

reflects their myriad interests and vantage points” (Leadbeater, C. 2009.

Pg 32)

The innovation and culture has been able to translate through modern

times, into a widely accessible source of communication. The subculture

still remains in the midst of the World Wide Web. Unless you are an

individual following the very principles of the culture, such as Punk and

Hardcore, you will not be able to be part of the true scene. In effect, you

can now access websites such as Youtube and watch a music video of a

band that you consider to be part of the underground and therefore write

as if you were living by a code. This can be considered morally wrong,

and the true individuals to the culture will constantly refer you as a

mainstream user and your credibility irrelevant. On a positive side, the

entire networking capabilities of a fanzine have been translated digitally.

Making it easier for a further increase of positive truthful expression,

delivered through the means of the Internet.

Camille Rose Garcia was born in 1970 in Los Angeles, California, The child of

a Mexican activist filmmaker father and a muralist/painter mother, she apprenticed

at age 14 working on murals with her mother while growing up in the generic

suburbs of Orange County, visiting Disneyland and going to punk shows with the

other disenchanted youth of that era.

Garcia’s layered, broken narrative paintings of wasteland fairy tales are influenced

by William Burroughs’ cut-up writings and surrealist film, as well as vintage

Disney and Fleischer cartoons, acting as critical commentaries on the failures of

capitalist utopias, blending nostalgic pop culture references with a satirical slant on

modern society.http://www.camillerosegarcia.com/

Dan Mumford is a freelance illustrator/designer/screenprinter working out of Stu-

dio100 in central London, Kingsland road, and screenprint studio in Dalston.

A Lot of the common questions i get asked are right here, if you have question about

work or getting a quote, check these questions and then send me an email!

Q: How much for you to design something for me?

A: I have no set prices as such, prices are dependant on the work itself, before any

work is started though i will give an estimate..but please, be specific as to what you

actually want and what it is for when contacting me.

Q: How long for you to complete said piece of work?

A: It really depends what i have on and what the work is. But please do not contact

me expecting me to able to produce something for you instantly, especially in the case

of larger jobs, normally there is a small waiting period, I will at the time of course

be able to let you know how long!

‘Godmachine was born in Cardiff, South Wales, it was a difficult birth; his

parents were in London at the time. He grew up on a steady diet of nothing,

2000AD comics and Santa Cruz skateboards.

His art is born of Jim Philips, raised by Simon Bisley and adopted by his

everyday influences; film, literature and music.

He uses a wacom, photoshop and coffee to achieve his detailed images that

have made quite an impact on band merch, skateboards and clothing companies

today.

He owns 2 cats: Bear and Miss Boo Boo Kitty Fuck II and has a wor-

rying amount of coffee mugs with cats on them. Although a vegetarian and a

devout anti-theist he collects animal skulls, animal horns and crucifixs along

with old discarded black and white photos.

How has your work evolved over the years, and what has motivated these changes?

In the years of the Art Academy I start to draw a series of portraits of my father, at that time, my

“need” was to represent the wrinkles, the story of the single man in the skin. In the summer of

2009, after reading some books of ancient stories, I tried to represent the union between women

and nature. I was impressed by “Malleus Maleficarum”, a book that tells how the women healers

were considered evil. I try to give form to what these women did for the society because, especially

in Italy, religion deletes the figures of the mothers and the women healers.

My name is McBess , it means giant steaming balls in Greek , in a way it’s

the answer to the famous series of metaphysical poems about the balls . I’m 13

years old plus 13 years old and I run faster than a shark , I read faster than a

tiger , and unlike the eagle I can cook with an oven . I’m cheese where the good

French come from , and I live in Nodnol wich is London backwards .

What inspires and informs your work?

My work is an art inspired by an abstraction of salami and sex, it gets its

power from the galaxy and the inner you, its addiction is making you horny and

uncomfortable about it. Its references are very intricate and form a vortex of

information designed by one self, one all mighty mind .

Sin Eater

21

Sin-Eater lives deep in the heart of Herefordshire’s countryside. Here his fascination of

animal forms grew & gave birth to his passions for the collecting of taxidermy & theory

of evolution.A cynic of photoshop all of his artwork is created by hand. His desire is for

Sin-eater to belong among the Albrecht Durer’s. Detached from the contemporary Sin-

eaters work is a call into the echoing chasms of the past.
