WHO ARE WE?
Class photo includes student body members from Baylor
University & Tarleton State University-Waco in the 2015-
2016 training cohort.
The 2015-2016 VA-CERP cohort were recruited
and enrolled from local universities to
participate in this unique training program. Each
student expressed interest in social science
research and plans to pursue graduate training.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

WHY SHOULD I APPLY?
The VA-CERP program allows students to
explore research opportunities. Students that
apply have the advantage of being more
competitive in future endeavors.
Completing a research assistantship allows
students to stand out in the application
process. If you wish to gain experience in
research, apply to the program.
WHAT DO YOU DO AT VA-CERP?
This two semester program is designed to help
students gain research experience in a clinical
research setting. Each week students will be
required to complete ten hours of work and
attend weekly meetings to discuss important
information, trainings, and upcoming events.
In the VA-CERP program students gain
experience in Veteran related research:
Data entry,
Research field terminology,
VISN 17 COE training,
Students further participate in professional
development seminars to enhance their
graduate school applications.
