Container vessel arriving Le HavreOnce port authorities gives the green light to enter the Port, pilot gets on board, vessel can enter the port and tugs help vessel to manoeuvres to pass through the locks Francois 1er and to take its place alongside the quay.

Then vessel is secured

A straddle carrier takes and brings containers alongside, while a Docker is unlocking twist locks in order to lift the containers.

Loading containers on board• Cranes translates accross

the ship to load container to the right place to be discharged at the destination port.

• The stevedor calculates the right place according to destination, weight and also if good are dangerous or not.

End of operationsContainers are secured in the hatck under deck (under sea level) others are piled on top the hatch pannels and are secured by rod bars and twist locks.Discharged containers are waiting on the terminal to be picked up by trucks and delivered to receivers.
