Visit of The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr Parvinder Kaushal, YSPUHF, Solan at RHRTS, Dhaulakuan on 16 December, 2019

Dr Parvinder Kaushal, The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of YSPUHF, Solan visited RHRTS, Dhaulakuan on 16th

December, 2019. The scientists of the research station, Dr AK Joshi. Associate Director(R&E) and Dr

Priyanka Thakur (Principal Floriculturist) welcomed the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr Parvinder Kaushal

with the presentation of bouquets. He was escorted to the office, seminar hall and appraised of

activities conducted in Floral Craft Lab, Vertical garden, Ornamental oxygen bomb/ Air purifier plants

etc. Thereafter, he visited the Native Ornamental Garden, where he planted Crape Jasmine

(Tabernamontana divaricata- native ornamental shrub). Then, he observed experiments on DUS

validation of Dahlia, evaluation of marigold, tuberose, chrysanthemum cultivars, mother stock of dahlia

in polyhouse. Later, he was escorted to fruit nursery area where litchi, mango, citrus, jackfruit and CMS

lines of capsicum were shown. The visit ended with the vote of thanks to the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of

YSPUHF, Solan.
