PAIPED made a successful debut as a country pavilion at Food & Hotel Asia 2012, with Oman’s leading food & beverage manufacturers. FHA is the biggest food, beverage & hospitality exhibition in Asia

A Roundtable Seminar was held with Singapore-based companies for investment opportunities in Oman, particularly from the Automotive, Petrochemical and Shipping & Logistics sectors

Keen interest was received from potential investors e.g. a site visit to the headquarters of a leading Singapore company who is currently exploring automotive component manufacturing and distribution opportunities in Oman. A follow up visit to Oman in May is planned by the manufacturer ; and Oman’s leading manufacturers have secured serious enquiries and orders from both local and regional distributors at FHA 2012.

� The Public Authority for Investment Promotion & Export Development (PAIPED) opened in January 1997. It was created by Royal Decree.

� PAIPED aims at increasing the contribution of the Private Sector to the investments required for the development plans and promoting the export of Omani products to foreign countries to improve the balance of trade of the Sultanate. And vice-versa.of trade of the Sultanate. And vice-versa.

� The MES Group has been appointed as PAIPED Representative to promote bilateral investment and develop trade opportunities in Singapore and Oman.
