The mission of the Joliet Central football program is to develop “Men of Steel”.

1. A program that graduates men of great character. 2. Student-Athletes that represent Joliet Central High School with pride, serve as leaders and positive role models for surrounding youth, and strive to give back to the community. 3. A coaching staff that builds strong relationships with the athletes, families, and community to provide a foundation for the players’ future. 4. A program that supplements the culture of Joliet Central and provides a young student-athlete with an outstanding institution to prepare for a college education, collegiate competition, and ultimately success in life after football. 5. Build a tradition of athletic accomplishment. 6. A program that is respected for its hard work, discipline, unity, and pride.

1. Possession, consumption, purchase or sale of tobacco products.

2. Alcohol Possession*, consumption, distribution, or purchase.

3. Drug Possession*, consumption, or purchase of steroids or other controlled substances, look-alike drugs or drug related paraphernalia. Possession in numbers 2 and 3 is considered to be any presence while illegal transportation and/or consumption are taking place.

4. Theft, possession of stolen property, or vandalism.

5. Acts of violence, or other acts considered unlawful in this or any other jurisdiction.

6. Attending a function where there is underage drinking of alcohol, usage of steroids or other illegal drugs, or look-alike drugs.

7. Sale, distribution of, or providing location for the illegal consumption of controlled substances or alcohol. (Such a violation will carry a 3rd offense penalty, which is a suspension from all District extra-curricular participation for one calendar year.)

8. Hazing/Initiation in any athletic/activity program or outside the program. District 204 Student Discipline Guidelines define hazing initiations as administering physical punishment to an individual, directing verbal abuse at an individual, or requiring an individual to perform an immoral act as a requirement to gain or maintain membership in any club or organization.

9. Sexual Harassment in any athletic/activity program or outside the program. District 204 Student Discipline Guidelines and School Board Policy #7.20 define Sexual Harassment as follows: An employee, district agent, or student engages in sexual harassment whenever he/she makes unwelcome sexual advances, requests sexual favors, or engages in other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual or sex-based nature.

NOTE: It is the obligation of the student to give notice to the school administration within seven calendar days if civil authorities are involved with an Extra-Curricular Participation Code violation. Violations of the above are considered together in terms of determining 1st, 2nd and 3rd levels of discipline, and are cumulative over a student’s high school career.

Scholastic Standing A. You must pass twenty-five (25)

credithours of high school work per week.Generally, twenty-five (25) credit hours isthe equivalent of five (5) .5 credit courses(2.5 full credits). B. You must have passed and

received credittoward graduation for twenty-five (25)credit hours of high school work for theentire previous semester to be eligible at allduring the ensuing semester. (Beginningwith the second

MIDDLE STRIPE When not in-season

or preparing for a spring sport athletes must attend 80% of scheduled work-outs.

Must pass 3 of 5 strength and conditioning tests before the start of the season.

Decals Athletes must attend

80% of the July football camp to receive their Steelmen decals.

Varsity will receive stripes & decals because of summer attendance!!!

8-18: Registration for athletics and activities. Waiver form allows for random drug testing.

Pictures & Impact tests will be completed for athletes on Saturday 8/20/16.

Activity fees are due after Homecoming (9/17/16) DO NOT GIVE MONEY TO COACHES!!

All players are required to ride to and from events on the bus. Must have 48 hours notice if a player is to be

dismissed!!

3 night games. Must Buy Tickets Before the Game.

Students cannot buy tickets for adults. After the Game:

Parents will have 20 minutes to meet with players on the field.

Players and Staff will be bused to the locker room. Parents should pick up players on Eastern Av. Near

G & H door.
