This weekend marks the final weekend of our Called to Serve as Christ campaign at Our Lady of Fatima And
now it includes a $1 million matching gift challenge
An anonymous donor generously offered to contribute $100000 for every 25 new pledges to the Called to
Serve as Christ campaign during Commitment Weekend up to $1 million With just 250 new donors we can
secure $1 million for our priests our women religious sisters and our parish Any gift helps
During all liturgies this weekend we will invite those who have not yet had an opportunity to participate in the
campaign to join our success Further we want to say thank you to everyone who has already made a
commitment to this important effort Together we are helping secure the future of the Archdiocese of Seattle
We ask anyone who has yet to make a campaign commitment to consider pray and contribute during this
Commitment Weekend Every gift makes a difference
CAMPAIGN UPDATE
To date our parish has raised $461643 toward our goal of $1045118 thanks to the support of 129 parish
families Now thanks to the generous $1 million matching challenge with 250 more pledges wersquoll exceed
$145 million As a reminder 15 percent of funds raised up to our goal are returned to the parish for our needs
Once we exceed our goal 85 percent of every additional dollar raised will be returned to the parish

Archbishop J Peter Sartain Archbishop of
Seattle blessed the Monstrance for Vocations
The Monstrance has since been traveling
throughout the Archdiocese and will visit
every parish and mission to facilitate prayer
for vocations to the priesthood and religious
life until the tour concludes this year

School for Pre K-Jr High takes place from 930-
1020 in the school The curriculum is grade
specific All parish children are encouraged to
register
Childrens Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) takes place
during 1030 mass for children pre-k through 6yo or
who are not preparing for 1st Holy Communion
Lessons are specific to this age group Younger
children are welcome accompanied with an adult

500pm Mass on Saturday February 16 2019 in the
Parish Center for the Annual Spaghetti Dinner
This will be a fun evening for the whole family
In addition to the food there will be a raffle as well
as special auctions for (1) a ride on Scott Grimmrsquos
boat and (2) four Apple Cup tickets
Tickets to the dinner are just $15 per person and $40
for a family of 3 or more Tickets will be on sale
after weekend liturgies and will also be sold at the
door on February 16th

SPIRITUAL ADOPTION PROGRAM
A New Year began at the 9AM Mass on Saturday
Feb 2nd for the Spiritual Adoption Program
In this program a person or couple can adopt an
unborn child (ie spiritually) who is in danger of
abortion give the child a name and say a daily
prayer for its safety You are given a certificate
which you can place in a prominent place (your
refrigerator) as a reminder During each of the next
nine months you will find a poster on the kiosk in the
parish center showing the growth - and capabilities
of your child At the end of nine months (October) a
small celebration will be held after the 9AM Mass on
the 1st Saturday of the month honoring the birth of
the child A beautiful experience And possibly
through your prayers an infant may be saved from
abortion
GYMPARISH EVENT ATTENDANT
Our Lady of Fatima Parish is looking for 2 or 3
candidates to fill the position of Gym Parish Event
Attendant This is a part-time on-call position (with
72 hours advance notice) to manage supervise
activities and some light cleaning for weekend and
weeknight Sports Activities and Special Events in the
Gym and Parish Center The standard shift for this
position is a minimum of 4 hours The position pays
$2000 per hour Applicants must be a minimum of
18 years of age A Background Check and Safe

THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS CATHOLIC
HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP
Two (2) One-Thousand dollar scholarships are
available to all eighth grade students in Our Lady of
Fatima Parish who will attend a Catholic high
school in the fall The scholarships will be awarded
on the basis of personal character academic merit
and financial need Applicants can pick-up a
requirement form and an application at the parish

SPIRITUAL ADOPTION PROGRAM
A New Year began at the 9AM Mass on Saturday
Feb 2nd for the Spiritual Adoption Program
In this program a person or couple can adopt an
unborn child (ie spiritually) who is in danger of
abortion give the child a name and say a daily
prayer for its safety You are given a certificate
which you can place in a prominent place (your
refrigerator) as a reminder During each of the next
nine months you will find a poster on the kiosk in the
parish center showing the growth - and capabilities
of your child At the end of nine months (October) a
small celebration will be held after the 9AM Mass on
the 1st Saturday of the month honoring the birth of
the child A beautiful experience And possibly
through your prayers an infant may be saved from
abortion
GYMPARISH EVENT ATTENDANT
Our Lady of Fatima Parish is looking for 2 or 3
candidates to fill the position of Gym Parish Event
Attendant This is a part-time on-call position (with
72 hours advance notice) to manage supervise
activities and some light cleaning for weekend and
weeknight Sports Activities and Special Events in the
Gym and Parish Center The standard shift for this
position is a minimum of 4 hours The position pays
$2000 per hour Applicants must be a minimum of
18 years of age A Background Check and Safe

Two (2) One-Thousand dollar scholarships are
available to all eighth grade students in Our Lady of
Fatima Parish who will attend a Catholic high
school in the fall The scholarships will be awarded
on the basis of personal character academic merit
and financial need Applicants can pick-up a
requirement form and an application at the parish

It was great to see so many of you at our open house
last weekend We appreciate you visiting with us and
taking the opportunity to learn more about our school
ministry Thank you to all who have supported our
annual endowment appeal through your financial
contributions and your prayers
We are looking for high school students to help out
at this years auction on Saturday March 2nd Please

MONSTRANCE FOR VOCATIONS WILL VISIT
OUR LADY OF FATIMA PARISH
Monday February 4th through Saturday the

Adoration will be available the following
on Monday through Saturday 930am-12 noon
and from 500pm-9pm each day of the visit
Please come for as long as you are able and as
often as you can to pray for vocations in our
Archdiocese
At the Chrism Mass on March 21 2013
Archbishop J Peter Sartain Archbishop of
Seattle blessed the Monstrance for Vocations
The Monstrance has since been traveling
throughout the Archdiocese and will visit
every parish and mission to facilitate prayer
for vocations to the priesthood and religious
life until the tour concludes this year

designated Sundays that are listed here Sunday
School for Pre K-Jr High takes place from 930-
1020 in the school The curriculum is grade
specific All parish children are encouraged to
register
Childrens Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) takes place
during 1030 mass for children pre-k through 6yo or
who are not preparing for 1st Holy Communion
Lessons are specific to this age group Younger
children are welcome accompanied with an adult
Children preparing for First Eucharist and older

boat and (2) four Apple Cup tickets

Parish Center donation area on the Barrett side of the
church Our homeless neighbors are located right
beneath the Magnolia Bridge on 15th and it gets
windy and chilly there
