10/03/2013

Executive Summary • Last year we requested several critical Vision enhancements immediately post go-
live. Those enhancements are complete and paid for but only available to us in the latest release of Vision, Version 4.060 Key enhancements:– Reduce programming templates by 75% from our unwieldy 5639 templates (causing many
problems on and off air)– Enable traffic to copy interstitial rotation pattern that will reduce traffic effort by more than
2000 hours per year– Provide improved integrity between programming planning and on-air schedule to reduce
schedule issues and ad sales problems– Provide a significantly improved integration capability between Landmark (Ad Sales) and Vision
(Scheduling)• Additionally, Vision v4.x includes non-linear scheduling for VOD at no additional cost
– LatAm launched a VOD service in June using .xls – Globally, Networks needs as Non Linear scheduling solution
• Vision 4.060 in LatAm is the planned POC site for GPMS integration for the Media Centre project
• Vision 4.060 has real time integration with landmark required which will reduce sync issue that are result in lost sales opportunities
• Vision v4.060 upgrade requires:– An upgrade in Oracle– New Hardware - A new middle tier application servers which requires an investment. – An Increased number of users and servers are required to support current operations and
higher availability• Lastly, we will launch the new platform in Chandler to reduce OpEx and improve the
technical architecture to reduce a significant number of technical issues and reduce the costs of all future integration projects to Vision (which is the at the center of the Networks core processes)
• Vision 3.x runs over Oracle 10g which is not longer been supported by Oracle. In order to migrate to Oracle 11g we need to upgrade vision to version 4.x.
