#DUInspire 2021 Virtual Open Day 3

Our Virtual Open Day will run from 9am - 5pm (with someactivities running until 7pm) on Saturday 18 September, withlive events taking place during this time. Please see theschedule for a full listing of activities taking place (pages 7-9).You will also be able to visit our virtual 'Exhibition Halls', speakto university staff in our chatrooms, collect useful resources,and attend webinars.

Don't worry if you miss something- you'll be able to keepcoming back to the platform for on-demand content until 10October!

You'll first arrive at our lobby (which is modelled on our veryown Teaching and Learning Centre), where you can visit theHelp Desk, watch the Open Day video, explore the ExhibitionHalls or access the Lecture Theatre. The main navigation barwill be displayed across the top of your screen, and you cannavigate using this!

This was probably the best virtual open day I havebeen on with the varietyand number of live eventsand how well they wereorganised and presented.

If you have any questions, you can always pop to our HelpDesk on the day - where we will be happy to help. Even afterthe live day itself, you can pop back to this desk to ask ourenquiries team a question.

Help Desk

In our Lecture Theatre (Auditorium) you can view a largeselection of webinars. To make it easier to find the correctwebinar, use the links at the top of the page to filterwebinars by topic. Live events take place between 9am and7pm, and usually last no more than one hour. In somewebinars, you'll be able to ask questions during the event,and for others you can visit the chat room.

Whatever you're interested in - there'll be something foryou! Just click on the screen to see the full listing.

Our current students areeager to talk to you! Youcan see a list of currentstudents available to talkto on our UnibuddyPlatform, and ask anyquestions you may have!Just click the 'Unibuddy'tab under any of thebooths in the ExhibitionHall.

Our Department, College and Professional Support Service staffare on hand throughout the Open Day to answer any questionsyou may have. Chats are available at different times during theday- just check out the listings on pages 7-9 to find out thetimings!

Some chats will be hosted through virtual face-to-facemeetings, and others through typed chat.

Top tips!

You can add videos anddocuments to your 'Swag Bag'and email them to yourself tolook at again after the event!Just select the 'swag bag'option next to any items you'dlike a copy of.
