WHAT IS THE CHANGE THE WORLD MUNVIRTUAL EDITION

The Change the World MUN (CWMUN) Virtual Edition is the first UN simulation inthe world that takes place online and reserved to school and university levelstudents.

It is organized by Associazione Diplomatici, that has been been running the biggestMUN network in the world for over twenty years: the Change the World – WorldProgram, that annually takes place in New York, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Rome andSingapore. In the most prestigious locations like the UN Headquarters, the FAOHeadquarters, the NYU-Abu Dhabi Campus and the rooms of the Italian Parliament.

A Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of thefunctioning of the main organs of the United Nations.Students role-play one of the Countries within the UNsystem in one of the work sessions of the GeneralAssembly, Security Council, ECOSOC, and much more.Students debate on the most pressing global issuesand work hard on common solutions that will mergeinto UN Resolutions.

WHAT IS A MODEL UN?

Our Virtual Model UN is an entirely digital experiencethat can be used through the most moderncommunication technologies. The training activity isfaithfully reproduced within a stimulating virtualecosystem that let participants fully identify with thesimulation works, interact with other students, andwork in a team using their computer or smartphone.The world has never been so close at hand.

Team Challenges definitely represent a super new thing to the CWMUN Virtual Edition. All participants in the CWMUN Virtual Edition, besides their country/committeeassignment, will be assigned to a team of 30 students with whom to participate in funonline challenges. All the teams will be competing and their goal is to win by collecting asmany points as possible to climb the ranking. The winning team will get fantasticbenefits and will enter straight away to the "CWMUN Virtual Edition Best Of", thesimulation between the strongest delegates ever.

AWARDS

Workplace® is a simple and familiar platform- as it is based on Facebook - but at the sametime very powerful. It is already used by manyorganizations, including the World HealthOrganization (WHO), and is an idealcommunication tool for teams workingremotely. It works as a social network butincludes advanced functions such as thepossibility of working simultaneously withwriting documents, sharing content withone's colleagues and carrying out videomeetings at any time. Pre-settings ofWorkplace® will be available to allparticipants of the CWMUN Virtual Edition.Your training material will also include easytutorials to quickly learn to use this powerfultool.

Zoom®  is the video conference softwarewhere simulation sessions are held. Itguarantees exceptional clarity and quality andensures that everyone can participate equallywhether with your computers orsmartphones. It will be your opportunity toimpress other students with your skills as aspeaker, follow the debate within yourCommittee, carry out negotiations in real timeand vote for the Resolutions, just like in astandard Model UN.

HOW TO GET PREPARED: E-DELEGATE COURSE

The e-Delegate Course is your starting point to become a UN delegate. The onlinecourse, held in English, is divided into 4 webinars with one of the tutors ofAssociazione Diplomatici. Additionally, more contents will be also available on our e-learning platform. The course offers a general overview of the role and structure ofthe United Nations and provides the knowledge and skills needed to successfullyjoin this experience. The training is also enriched by the participation of politics, lawand economics, diplomats, journalists experts as well as the CWMUN Alumni.

Getting ready is simple and useful by accessing our E-Learning Platformavailable via computer or smartphone. You will find videos, in-depth documentsand tutorials. You will soon become an expert and will be ready to join thesimulation successfully using the best of your technology skills. You can alsoshare opinions as well as e-meeting the other members of the CWMUNcommunity.

Attend our real-time virtual classes led by our tutors by joining your virtualclassrooms. The entire course of the CWMUN Virtual Edition will facilitate yourpreparation by offering you a strong insights of what you will mostly need toknow such as the Rules of Procedure and Resolutions’ writing skills. You will also learn to improve your public-speaking and teamwork skills.

The Change the World Model UN New York is the most prestigious of all the events related to the CWMUN World Program: more than 3500 students from over 140 different countries take part in it. All of them work as ambassadors representing the Member States within the United Nations Headquarters in NYC.

Starting from 2021, the World Program is enriched with a new stage: the Change the World Model UN Singapore is preparing to become one of the most successful projects.

CCWMUN Singapore is a unique training opportunity during which students, political leaders, sports champions and geopolitical experts meet to discuss innovation, future and sustainability together in one of the major economic and cultural hubs of the Far East.

The CWMUN Emirates’ simulation game and its mechanisms do not differ from our MUN events, but the fabulous location where millenary traditions are mixed with metropolitan pomp, and the suggestive intercultural atmosphere, give the CWMUN Emirates the value of an even more exceptional experience.

TThe facility chosen for the event is the New York University Campus in Abu Dhabi, the perfect location to host the international conference attended by hundreds of high school and university students from all over the world.

CWMUN Roma is one of our most popular Conferences, especially by students who come from outside Europe.

From world-famous attractions, architecture, history, and culture, there are many different factors that make a city as great as Rome.

TThe Conference takes place at the LUISS Guido Carli University. The University, located in the heart of Rome, is a site full or history and Italian culture.
