    Viom Networks gets its new lead

    ~Syed Safawi joins as Companys new CEO~

    New Delhi, June 2, 2012: Viom Networks, a joint venture between Tata Teleservices and Quippo - a SreiGroup Enterprise, announced the appointment of Syed Safawi as its new Chief Executive Officer. With

    effect from July 2, 2012, Syed has taken charge of Indias Largest Independent Telecom infrastructure

    Company which is moving to the next stage of transformation, emphasizing a paradigm shift towards

    achieving its goal of being amongst the most admired infrastructure company globally.

    Prior to this, Syed was with Reliance Communication Ltd. as the President and CEO of the Wireless

    Business and Chairman of the Reliance Management Board. He was earlier with Bharti Airtel Ltd. as

    Executive Director responsible for East as well as West India operations along with International

    Wireless operations of Bharti Airtel Ltd. He has over 24 years of rich FMCG and Telecom leadership

    experience in India and the Global markets, almost half of which was with Coca-Cola where he was last

    based at Vietnam as Country Manager and CEO managing business for Indochina and Malaysia. He has

    also served on the boards of several companies in India and globally in Coca-Cola, Bharti Group and

    Reliance Group.

    Speaking on the occasion Mr. Sunil Kanoria, VC & MD, Viom Networks said, We are extremely delighted

    Syed, with his diverse Global leadership experience, will facilitate the key leadership team in architecting

    innovative strategy for further operational excellence by leveraging technology platforms and building &

    consolidating a customer centric organization with effective customer engagement models for higher

    sustained revenue growth. He will lead and support key initiatives for Organization Development which

    ultimately would lead us to build an organization with World class standards. He would also be

    responsible for building strategy for mid and long-term business direction & growth. He will work closely

    with the Chairman and Managing Director in exploring international business opportunities and alliedareas of business, including partnering in the alternate energy solutions space.
