Michelangelo doesn’t have a specific movement but he was known as a high and late Renaissance. He has been compared to the famous artist Leonardo da Vinci It is said that the ninja turtle Michelangelo got his name from his truly . So he has had some effect on people all over the world.

Michelangelo full name was Michel angeló di Ludovico Buonarroti Simón. He was a great artist and more. He did painting and sculpting. He also was an engineer, poet, and architect. I think some of his other jobs helped him create some of his best work.

I picked Michelangelo because of his versatility. He was a great painter and sculptor ; His work is in some of the most prestigious art museums and galleries in the world . My favorite work from Michelangelo is The Sistine Chapel . That is not the only good work from him though he has so much work.

Edgar DegasBallerina Guy

Edgar Degas was part of an art movement called Impressionism. He didn’t like that term he preferred to

be called a realist. The characteristics of impressionist painting are visible brush strokes, it emphasis on light

and unusual visual angles. This took place in the 1860’s. All of Edgar Degas paintings are based on

ballerinas that’s what they all have in common.

Edgar Degas was born in Paris, France. He was the oldest out of five children. He wanted to be an

artists but his dad wanted him to be a lawyer. To please his dad he enrolled into the Faculty of law of the University of Paris. He made no effort to his studies. In that same year he got accepted into an art school. He went to Italy were he would stay for the next 3 years. In 1870 he enlisted to fight war.

During rifle training his eyesight was found defective and for the rest of his life his eye

problems were a constant worry. In 1873 his father died and they were in a lot of debt. He died on

September 27 1917 at the age of 83.

I enjoy his paintings. I think they are very creative. I think its really creative

how he uses ballerinas on all his art pieces but they don’t look alike there all different. He make his paintings

with so much detail.

Pablo Picasso’s art was specialized in Cubism. Cubism is an artistic style, mostly in painting and sculpture, that was originated in the early 20th century and points out the representation of natural forms as geometric shapes seen from several angles.

Pablo Picasso may have just been one of the most influential artist, who was born in Spain. One problem that Picasso faced, was his old age, he was still painting at the age of 80.

I believe that Picasso was a great artist. His unique way of using different shapes and eye popping colors is amazing. If I would see his painting of a fruit basket next to another famous artwork, I would most definitely pick his!

Biography:

I believe that his art is beautiful.I, myself enjoy and love the outdoors so his paintings are amazing. I don’t think I can paint or draw like him..but I think his art can inspire me to do things I like I do on nature..like poetry. This is my favorite..

In his art he shows and expresses things like nature and outdoor places..

and he also has a few paintings of him self.

Oscar Claude Monet was born in Paris on November 14th 1840. Later in life Claude meets a man ,who inspires him to start painting the outdoors. He later marries and has children. He moved further in his art and opened a studio. He kept painting, but came up with a mish aft of lung cancer. He died on December 5th 1926.He was remembered for his art.

In my opinion, this artist is quite amazing. He seems to be trying to show something through what he is painting.

Born Alessandro di Mariano Filipepi in Florence in 1445, Botticelli was apprenticed to a goldsmith. Later Botticelli Sandro was a pupil of the painter Fra Filippo Lippi.

Botticelli Sandro spent all his life in Florence except

for a visit to Rome in 1481-82. There Botticelli Sandro painted wall frescoes in the

Sistine Chapel of the Vatican.

Because all of Sandro Botticellis paintings had angels in them I think he was trying to spread his believe in God and what he thought of him.
