The aim of the program is to supplement the railway network with railway connections(including the preparation of necessary pre-design and design documentation) of townswith a population of over 10 000 persons without access to passenger railways withregional capitals and improvement of internal communication and socio-economiccohesion of the regions.

The Program will be implemented by PKP PLK SA in cooperation with local governmentunits. Local government units were informed about the possibilities and of investmentimplementation rules.

Currently, the Ministry of Infrastructure is working on the preparation and implementationof the program and 21 investments were pre-identified. This list does not constitute a completecatalog of tasks that qualify for support.
