SAT, NOV 1 – LISBON/FATIMA

After breakfast enjoy a brief orientation tour of Lisbon before

departing for the village of Fatima, the world’s most famous

Marian shrine. Here, on the thirteenth of each month between

May and October in 1917, the Blessed Mother appeared to

three young children and exhorted the world to pray for world

peace. Your visit this afternoon will include the Basilica of Our

Lady of Fatima, site of Francisco and Jacinta’s graves, and

WED, NOV 5 – SALAMANCA/AVILA/MADRIDDepart today for the walled city of Avila, birthplace of St.Theresa and where the Order of Carmelites was founded.See the cathedral and St. Vincent’s Basilica and then on toSegovia, famous for its Alcazar and a still functioning Romanaqueduct. THU, NOV 6 – MADRIDThis morning you will see the white-trimmed 2,800-room RoyalPalace and the exquisite gardens that surround it, the Puertadel Sol, Cervantes Memorial, the Plaza de España, the acacia-lined Castellana, and the Avenida Jose Antonio. Then visit

the Prado Museum, housing a collection of masterpieces by

Spain’s artists Velazquez, Goya and El Greco. Your afternoon

FRI, NOV 7 – MADRID/LOURDES

Today you head northeast through the quaint scenery of the

mountainous Spanish countryside. Then cross the border into

France to the shrine city of Lourdes where between February

11th and July 16th, 1858, the Virgin Mary appeared in the

Grotto of Massabielle to the poor shepherd girl, Bernadette,

a total of 18 times. Scratching the ground as instructed by

Mary, Bernadette saw a miraculous spring well up where none

This morning you visit the Grotto of Apparitions, Rosary

Basilica, Basilica of St. Pius X and Way of the Cross over the

Hillside. There will be plenty of time for Mass, prayers for

Your pilgrimage is over as you drive to the airport in time for

DEVIATIONS: All deviation requests from the groupitinerary must be received at Nawas in writing no laterthan 100 days prior to departure. A $100 non-refundablefee per person will be charged on all deviations inaddition to any extra airfare that may be incurred. Airdeviations are subject to availability and restrictions asimposed by the airlines.BAGGAGE: Airlines may now charge baggage fees forchecked luggage on international/domestic flightsbased on the policy of each carrier. The maximumnumber of pieces of luggage, the weight allowance andbaggage dimensions may also vary by airline from theUSA to overseas destinations and beyond. Many carriersrequire that checked luggage in economy class notexceed 50 lbs with a combined length, width and heightof 62 inches. Regulations vary for business/first classpassengers. Airline policies regarding baggage aresubject to change at any time without prior notice. It isthe responsibility of each passenger to check with theirairline prior to departure for baggage information,regulations and compliance. Please refer to yourelectronic airline ticket receipt once received with thefinal tour documents. Nawas is not responsible foradditional fees imposed by air carriers regardingbaggage. Due to space l imitations on Nawasmotorcoaches, Nawas can only allow one piece ofluggage per person plus a carry-on bag with totaldimensions of 45 inches which fits in the overhead binor underneath the seat in front of you. Wheeled carry-on bags are not permitted due to limited motorcoachcapacity. Nawas Travel accepts no responsibility for lossor damage to the tour members’ baggage or personalbelongings at any time. Baggage insurance isrecommended and is available upon written requestTRAVELERS REQUIRING SPECIAL ASSISTANCE:Disabled travelers requiring special attention or caremust advise NAWAS in writing at the time of reservation.A physically able companion must accompany anyperson who needs special assistance. Tour directors,guides, drivers or other tour, hotel or ship personnel arenot able to provide such assistance. NAWAS is notresponsible for any denial of services to the disabledparticipant by air carriers, cruise ships, hotels,restaurants or other independent suppliers. From 69 to 31 daysprior to departure, written cancellations received byNawas Travel are subject to a cancellation fee of 50% ofthe total tour price per person. From 30 days up to andincluding the day of departure, written cancellationsreceived by Nawas Travel are subject to a 100%cancellation fee of the total tour price per person. Noshows are subject to a 100% cancellation fee andreservations will be cancelled. Failure to receive finalpayment by the due date may result in the cancellationof your tour reservation and the forfeiture of your deposit.Airline tickets are not refundable once issued. No refundswill be given for any unused services while on tour.INSURANCE: Nawas strongly recommends tripinsurance.
