DAILY EXCELSIOR, JAMMU MONDAY, JANUARY 21, 2019 (PAGE 15) Repair Bishnah Bana Chack road This is to draw the attention of the con- cerned authorities towards the bad condi- tion of Bishnah Bana Chack road. This road has been in this condi- tion for the last so many years and nobody has taken pains to repair it. The elected representa- tives though make prom- ise to repair it during election time, no sincere effort has been made in this direction by them. The road is damaged on both sides as well as in the middle leaving no space for motorists to ply vehicles safely. During rains the situa- tion worsens terribly. It is therefore, requested that the road be repaired at the earli- est to avoid any untowards incident. Subash Vasu Bishnah KC Morh Plea to Secretary School Education It is good news for entire teaching community that State Administrative Council has very kindly granted one time exemp- tion for the regularisation of all incharge School Education Officers and ZEO’s. In this connection, it is pertinent to mention that School Education Department had initiated major exercise last year for the regularisation of Headmasters/ZEOs and lecturers etc. circulars were issued, seniority lists got verified and all the CEOs were directed to collect individual proforma of Retired Officers/APRs/Integrity-cum-Service certificate and Vigilance clearance certificate alongwith attested affidavit by Magistrate that no court case or departmental enquiry is pending against these offi- cers. Concerned CEOs submitted entire record in original in the Office of Director School Education within cut off date. Thereafter no information is available from Civil Sectt. Srinagar. Now instead of utilising the available records the School Education Department has again issued order No. Edu/Gaz- III/A/201/2018 Dated 10-12-2018 asking for the same docu- ments and certificates which were collected one year ago and are very much available in the records. In this connection, it may also be noted that most of the retired officers are aged/sick and dead. So who will collect their data again for them? Moreover the APRs are not regularly written by the Controlling officers in Education Department and many Controlling officers are also retired and dead. The new officers do not write the APRs of retired officers because they do not know them. Moreover, at the time of retirement all these certificates and many other NOC’s are obtained for the grant of pension. The officer who is getting pension in respectable manner after retirement is automatically due for his regularisation. It is therefore requested that as per detailed information collected last year, the regularisation orders of incharge officers may please be issued as similar exercise to collect already taken documents will be another wastage of many more years in a hope to get regularised. Rajinder Anthal School Education Officer Forum, Jammu Insanitary conditions in Ward No. 38 This is to draw the attention of the JMC authorities towards the insanitary conditions prevailing in Ward No. 38. The whole Ward is presenting a shabby picture as drains are choked and lanes broken. As the drains are choked, water flows onto the road surfaces which in turn accumulates in pot-holes causing great inconvenience to the residents of the area. At present, the Ward is littered with garbage and reeks stench, thereby making the lives of people quite miserable. It may be mentioned here that the Street near Durga Mandir in Pritam Nagar, Paloura was repaired last time in 2005, but its condition has worsened since then. Besides, street lights too are not working at a number of places. Therefore, it is requested to Mayor JMC, Jammu to depute concerned officials to here on the spot assessment of the situation and take steps accordingly. Jasrotia Welfare Society Paloura Jammu Expedite work on SDH Dangiwacha In 2012, the J&K Health Department decided to build the SDH Dangiwacha in Baramulla. Nine Kanals of land was acquired for the purpose and construction work was started. Six years have passed since then, but the work on this project has not been completed yet. With the result, the old hospital could not be shifted to this new building. The old hospital too is facing many problems. There is shortage of technicians and paramedical staff without which patients encounter many difficulties. This hospital caters to a large population of the area and is considered an important health centre in this part of the State. We request the authorities to expedite work on the new build- ing on priority basis and throw it open for patients. This will cer- tainly give much needed relief to the suffering patients. Imtiyaz Rasool Ganai Patron, Rafiabad Civil Society Instal street light in city This is to state that the city of Jammu is lacking functional street lights. Not only on the inner lanes but the main roads too don’t have adequate street lights. In the absence of street lights in main road, lanes and by lanes public in general faces lot of prob- lems. Around this time of the year, the visibility on the roads dur- ing the early hours and after dusk gets somewhat affected due to fog/mist. And driving after sunset is a real hardship for the peo- ple of Jammu. With the authorities not taking a note of this it is thus a request from a layman to the people in administration to have a look at the issue and address it quickly so that public in general is in a position to move from one place to another on foot or by vehicle. We don’t want vehicles speeding into each other nor do we want a common man to be run over by vehicle. Abhinav Koul Gandhi Nagar, Jammu ACTION PLEASE!
