• Village on the verge of development. • Tackled the severe problem of naxalism
in just two decades. • Typical rural Indian society with
community wise segregation • 100% ODF
• One of the highest out migration rate -specially to Gulf countries
• Good level of girls’ education. • Turning into an IDEAL VILLAGE

Human Resource Development • Improving status of education- Gradual introduction of
English medium. • 100% passing rate at board exams. • Satisfactory level of girls’ education.
• Satisfactory status of pre primary education. • Satisfactory student-teacher ratio.
HEALTH • Nearest PHC working satisfactorily- ANMs and ASHAs with
impressive skills. • Institutional deliveries rate increasing at govt hospitals-
Gradual shift from C-section to natural delivery .(KCR kit) • Regular immunization drive conducted.
• Minimal cases of common diseases like TB, Malaria etc. • Good understanding of Family planning

• Inadequate Classrooms
• Inadequate amount of furniture
• Absence of private school
• No playground and recreational facilities
Society • Typical rural indian society based on community wise
segregation- 1.SC community(Mala and Madiga) 2. ST Community(Lambadi) 3.BC community(Oddera) 4. Hamlet
of BC community( Mudiraj)
• Different community halls for each community.
• Despite this, no visible discrimination based on caste. Example- celebrated Bathukamma with all the
communities together.
• Educated society- example, Hindi Vidwan from ST community hamlet.
• Majority Hindu religion. Few muslim families.
• Only few kuchha houses(6)

Agriculture • Main crops- Turmeric, Paddy, Maize.
• Irrigation means satisfactory (PMKSY) • Water canal nearby ( Shri Ram Sagar Project) • 24*7 power availability at cheaper rates. • Introduction of organic farming with visible improvement in
yield.(PKVY) • Farm ponds and drip irrigation introduced with visible
increase in yield. Also, fishery practiced in farm ponds for additional income.

• Availability of Fair price shop and agro shop.
Local governance
• Active participation in democratic endeavors; Gram Sabha in the previous slides is the manisfestation for the same.
• Village development council (VDC) at work- a representative from each community.
• Satisfactory participation in Gram Sabha by all communities.
Environment
• Erstwhile forest region.
• Good introduction of Harita Haram. Target of 40000 plantation drive for each village. However, this village managed to plant 56000 trees instead.
• Eco friendly Soak pits at each house.
• Successful Swaccha Bharat implementation.
• Drive to promote organic farming. Started with selective 50 farmers.

Tackling water problem
• Mission Bhagiratha: To provide potable water to each household.
• Using gravity to move water from high point on hill to villages.
• In Metpally region to be completed by November end
• Mission Kakatiya: Desilting and cleaning of water bodies.
• Aim to improve and retain the water carrying capacity of water bodies like ponds.
Suggestions/Need Interventions
• Need of basic infra in school- additional classrooms, sitting benches, mats, fans, Computers etc.
• Need of wall to the crematorium • Establishment of higher secondary school • Separate toilets for girls at school- special emphasis on
future expansion. • Playground for the students. • Need of public transport for school children. • Need of PHC centre for village. • Need of veterinary doctor/hospital. • Need of a bank branch/atm. • Proper implementation of NREGS. • Completion of CC roads in few pockets.
Suggestions/Need Interventions
• Awareness program for sanitation.
• Processing centre for Turmeric
• Government health centre should be established.
• Vocational training centre for unemployed youth and women.
• Mechanized farming to reduce delay in harvesting.
• Use of green manure, compost and natural pesticide.
• Institutionalized credit facility at reasonable interest rate.
