THEME WEEK: sleep & stress management

It’s that time of the quarter.  Midterms are starting and your stress levels are rising.  Elevated levels of stress actually decrease your retention rate and hinder your performance.  Learn about how to manage stress and keep track of your sleep this week with the help of our Sleep Tracker!  Also, join us for Bedtime Stories and s’mores Monday night and learn about dreams while making a Dream Catcher on Tuesday.

THIS WEEK’S

Tips for

Success

Starting to prepare for interviews and internships? Here are some tips to consider:

1. Know your resume – know yourself and your strengths; be ready to discuss your accomplishments and interests

2. Know your employer- find out everything you can about them before you interview

3. Prepare- practice your answers to anticipated questions; rehearse in front of the mirror or with a friend

4. Leave your baggage at the door – Don’t bring up grudges or things you’re not happy with. Turn them into a positive and do not speak negatively of professors or past employers.

5. Be professional - wear a suit (nothing too big, too tight, or too short), arrive 10 minutes early, turn off your cell phone, throw away your gum and coffee, and have multiple copies of your resume handy.
