Dear Fellow Vikings:

It is our privilege to present you with the first volume of The Viking Traditions Book.

While we only spend a few years here at Cleveland State, after our time on campus ends we will head into the world surrounded by a community of thousands of fellow Vikings. We may end up in different places, but when we see each other we know we share common experiences and memories. We know that we are True Vikings.

The Viking Traditions Book is meant to serve as a scrapbook of your time at CSU and as a checklist of items to complete before you graduate. Everything is do-able at any point during your time at CSU.

This is your school. This is your city. Have fun! Make the most of your time at CSU and take pride in the fact that you are a True Vike!

Sincerely,

Allison Dumski & Arit UmanaViking Traditions Book Co-Chairs

Student Government

The Student Government Association is the voice of students at Cleveland State. Together, we build traditions, create pride, and enable students to own their space and own their experience on campus!

Our purpose is to listen to student needs and concerns, to represent the interests of the student population, and to provide information and opportunities for involvement on campus. We work as a bridge to University administration and faculty to ensure that the welfare and educational interests of students are incorporated into the goals and policies of the University.

From our Executive Board and Cabinet of Directors to our Senate, SgA is comprised of members that represent students in all areas of University and student life. These areas include Senators from all the colleges as well as residence halls, student organizations, and at-large positions. Our members work to represent students in their specific areas as well as work on the projects that SgA has decided to undertake as a whole.

We have open positions with modest scholarships and always are looking to hear from you, so stop by our office on the second floor of the Student Center (SC217/218) or connect with specific members through www.CSUSgA.com. Our Senate meetings are open to the public and are usually held on the first and third Fridays of the month. For more information, like us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/CSUSgA) or follow us on Twitter (@sga4CSU).

The Student Alumni Association is a campus organization run by students, for students. SAA helps you connect and engage with Cleveland State University through events and leadership opportunities.

What separates us from other student organizations? Our network! We also help you form relationships with CSU alumni. SAA members receive invitations and access to exclusive CSU Alumni Association-sponsored events — social networking, career development, and community activities.

Our other programs and events include:

Homecoming parade and Tailgate

Almost Alumni Dinners
