GENERAL

1. Year 2013 started on a somber note all over the country and we were no exception to it. We as a Premier IT Institute showed our solidarity with the national sentiments and cancelled all our celebrations and awoke to a new year praying for the peace to the departed soul of brave heart DAMINI.

2. DUTY ROSTER. The Duty Roster for the Month of Feb 2013 will be as under

4. Inauguration of 625 KVA Generator and 1000 kva Transformer. The honors was done by Director Dr SS Gokhale. With this installation the Institute has 100% power backup, a facility that is available on a very few campuses.

5. Lohri Celeberations. Lohri the festival of song and dance was celebrated with religious gusto and fervor. Singing competition was organized to celebrate the occasion. The highlight of the evening was of course was the scintillating performance of BHANGRA DANCE by group of boys and girls.

6. Visit Sh DS Arora. Sh DS Arora, representative from Arcelor Mittal visited our campus on 15-16 Jan 2013.Aim of his visit was to take stock of the ongoing projects with special focus on those related to electrical works. The visit was organized over two days and went off well.

7. Visit Sh Vijay Bhatnagar .A. Sh Vijay Bhatnagar, Chairman, PMMC, visited the Institute on 28 Jan 2013. Aim of

the visit was to take stock of the ongoing projects and take a final call from the contractor about the projected date of completion of the two balance ongoing projects mainly the STUDIO APARTMENTS and BOYS HOSTEL-3 now NEW GIRLs HOSTEL. He also visited STP, WTP, Sub Station (where newly installed 625KVA generator and 1000 KVA Transformer was shown to him) and new Students Mess.

B. In the course of his visit he gave various directions towards following industrial safety parameters to ensure safety of personnel besides ensuring good quality of life. He also dwelled at length about hygiene and sanitation issues in the students

mess and disposal of garbage both organic and non organic as per the norms in vogue.

8. Repair And Maintenance of Existing Fire Fighting System:- (a) PHASE -1:- 600 PHASE -2:- Phase -1 is under completion.Phase-2 is completed.

9. Repairing and Maintenance of Solar Panels :- Work order has been awarded and work is in progress.

10. Award of AMC contract for Air Cooling System:- The AMC contract is yet to be finalized and awarded.

11. Status of Under Construction Infrastructure. Studio Apartments . (G PLUS 5):- Finishing work is in progress. Expected

handover date is 28/02/2012.

Boys Hostel-3, now NEW GIRLS HOSTEL (G PLUS 7). Finishing work is in progress. Expected completion date is 31 March 2013.

Student Mess-B . Handed Over and functional.

Lecture Hall- 9 and 10 . Handed Over and functional.

Academic Block . Handed over and functional

12. Area Cleaning:- Continuous effort is on to make campus clean and green and ensure a healthy and vibrant ambience.

13. Obituary. We are extremely saddened to inform you all about the sad demise of our laboratory assistant Sh RK Gupta at Durlabji Hospital on 12 Jan2013. We pray to the lord almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and strength to his loved ones to bear this irreparable loss.

14. Republic Day. This day was celebrated with true nationalistic fervor and spirit. On a pleasant winter morning the Directed unfurled the national flag and addressed all those who were present. Sweets were distributed to all after the ceremony.

CONCLUSION
