8. Refer to Google Site Help to learn how to enter content into your portfolio. Here are some basic instructions for entering content into your portfolio:

1. For text entry : Choose the edit mode (click pencil) then click where you want to change and begin typing. NOTE: To retain the formatting in the portfolio it is generally better to type your text directly into your website as opposed to copying and pasting text from a word processor. If you must copy and paste text, it is best to first transfer the text from the word processor to a text editor (e.g. notepad, textedit or textwrangler). Then copy and paste from the text editor to your portfolio website.

2. For image entry : Choose the edit mode (click pencil) then click where you want to insert the picture and click Insert then select Image and Choose File to select the image you want to insert from your computer drive.

3. For URL web address entry : Choose the edit mode (click pencil) and select the text where you want the link. Select the hyperlink tool (chain icon) and Web address. Next, enter the URL of the site you want to link to under Link to this URL: and click OK. If you want to have the web site open in a new window you may also click the "Open this link in a new window" option.

4. For file entry : For entering a file (e.g. pdf, doc or ppt file), go to the page where you want to link the file. Generally this will be the Assignments page under Courses or the Evidence page under Standards. Select the Subpages files link at the bottom of the page that links to a file cabinet page. Click Add file to select the file that you want to insert from your computer drive. Once the file is on the subpage right click on Download next to the file name and Copy Link. Then similar to entering a URL, go to the page where you want to insert the link. Then choose the edit mode (click pencil) and select the text where you want the link. Select the hyperlink tool (chain icon) and Web address. Next, paste the URL of the file under Link to this URL: and click OK.

8. Presenting your portfolio.

Present your philosophy page and briefly describe how you will integrate technology in your teaching.

Present your 4 selected resources that are linked to the front page of your portfolio.

Briefly describe changes that you envision for how technology will influence education in the future.
