Recruitment Business Case A detailed business case must be developed to support a request to recruit during the current recruitment freeze. The business case should be developed in consultation with your Senior HR Partner (SHRP) and Management Accountant and submitted to your relevant DVC, VP or Dean for endorsement. If endorsed, the business case should be submitted to your SHRP, who will seek confirmation of funding for the position from the Finance Office, via the Management Accountant. The SHRP will then progress the business case to the Executive Director, HR for review. The Executive Director, HR will make a recommendation to proceed with recruitment activity or not, before submitting to the Vice-Chancellor for his determination. If approved, recruitment activity may proceed through the normal manner via e-Recruit. This submission needs to clearly demonstrate and articulate how this position is critical to the University’s operational requirements. Endorsement of the business case is required from the DVC, Vice President, or Dean prior to submission to your Senior HR Partner. The relevant, up-to-date Position Description should accompany this business case (Please discuss updating the PD with your SHRP if necessary). If the request is to fill a new position, then an approved Establishment Form must also be provided. 1.
