CREATIVE IDEAS FOR STUDYING BIBLE PERSONALITIES

Each family member chooses who they think other family members are like in the Bible, and tells why.

Everyone chooses who they identify with in the Bible and shares it during dinner.

Each time you encounter a Bible personality, look at their good AND bad traits. (Children often think that people are either totally bad or totally good.  This will help them learn that Bible characters were human, just like themselves, and teach them how humans realistically relate to the Lord.)

Dramatize the stories from the Bible. This can be as simple as reading a Bible story word-for-word as others act it out (props are optional…but more fun :) or briefly telling the high points of a story: “Lazarus! Come Forth!!!”

Bible Character Charades - Study Bible characters as a family or group, and write down things you have learned about them on separate index cards. When you have at least 20, play charades and have everyone try to guess which character in the Bible you are.
