First of all the trainer does not give out any document to the trainees.

The trainer asks for a voluntary to « embody » the course.

- Are you sure of that?

The trainer will direct the answers to get the wright one: he is breathing. Then he shows the trainees how the chest of the model is moving and that, on their hands, they can feel the breath going out of his/her nose or his/her mouth.

2/ the trainer asks the model to breathe in and to keep the air without breathing out. The trainer has to congratulate the model for his/her apnea skills and then he asks the group:

- How did he/her do it?- Which part of his/her body did he/she use to block his/her breath? (if needed the

trainer asks for a second show from his/her model)

If none answer guides the group to localize the diaphragm, the trainer asks directly his/her models the following question:

- Which part of your body did react when you blocked you breathe?

With the localization he has to write down on the board the word:

The trainer invites each trainee to show him/her on the model where this muscle is located. The trainer shows the wright place.

The trainer has to point out that the respiratory system is linked with muscles. This part is finished: the model is deeply thanked.

The respiratory system: an air converting machine

Respiratory system is built on two systems:

On the other hand both on the lungs where blood and air are gathering themselves.

The body is supplied in oxygen and freed of carbon dioxide.

How does a human being breathe?the breathing is a natural uncontrolled movement except very temporary.

How can you control your breathe?

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

The Diaphragm’s muscle mainly controls the breathe.

Where is the diaphragm located?

.

The trainer explains the trainees he/she will show them a film in order to better understand the respiratory system.

When you breathe in:

The diaphragm contracts. The size of the chest is increasing and decreasing in direction to the abdomen. This movement creates a draft in the lungs.

When you breathe out: The air goes out of the body without any kind of muscular effort. The diaphragm relaxes, the chest lifts up, the lungs retract and repulse the air.

Right answer
