CTS Live Training Webinar Notes

December 27th, 2016

Now, lets go our “Main Presentation” this evening, “The Best of CTS Success Tips.” We’ve covered a ton of great stuff with those tips over the years, and now it’s time to take a look at some of our personal favorites, and particularly those that will help each of you get yourself centered on the Success Curve for 2017. But remember, the greatest information in the world is completely worthless unless you put it into action. So take what you learn here this evening and over the remainder of this week make a concrete action plan on how you will incorporate this information in your daily activities for next year. Then, next Monday morning on January 2nd, as we begin our 17th year with CTS, you’ll be ready to explode out of the starting gate. That’s what produces results, and doing this will ensure you have a much more profitable 2017. OK, lets get started.

We’ll Begin With Tennis

o Let’s begin with one of the first ones we ever did, that talked about my favorite subject, tennis. Not so much about the game itself, but about one of the many “commonalities” that can come from comparing sports to success.

A Busy Time of Year

o Personally, we’re always very busy during the Christmas week, so I haven’t been able to get in as much of my “tennis fix” as I’d like, which is usually 3 times a week. I just started playing tennis about 6 years ago; I’d been a big racquetball player back in in the 80’s, until a serious elbow injury forced me to quit. But the tennis swing is totally different, so I initially had a lot of “unlearning” to do. I still have a lesson every month or so, and I always book a few hours of practice time every week as well. But again with all of the Holiday festivities going on over the past few weeks for the family, it’s harder to fit that in as much as normal.

My Practice Routine

1

Page 2: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

o On Saturday, I had booked a court for two hours. I have a large “ball hopper” that holds about 100 tennis balls, so I started my practice session serving all of those 100 balls. Then I went and picked them all up, put them back in the hopper and loaded them into a ball machine, and I practiced 100 forehands. Picked them up again, loaded the ball machine and practiced 100 backhands. Picked them up again, loaded the ball machine and practiced 100 forehands. Picked them up again, loaded the ball machine and practiced 100 backhands. For the last 15 minutes or so, I picked the balls up again and filled the hopper, and I practiced serving those 100 balls again.

ONE Area Of Focus

o The end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t care about the “velocity” of the shot, I was practicing the “placement” of the balls in the service box. When I was practicing my forehands and backhands, I didn’t focus on where the balls went, instead, I concentrated on my swing plane, and making sure I followed through completely every swing. When I finished and gave the ball machine remote-control back to the attendant, who happens to be the mother of the owner, she said to me, “I can’t understand why someone would spend all that time doing that by yourself.” I laughed and said to Joan, “Because that’s the only way you can get better.” Was this a lot of work? You bet it was, and I was really beat when I finished. But I KNOW that is the ONLY way I can improve my game, and become the best player I’m capable of becoming.

Practice, Drill & Rehearse

o OK, what does this have to do with CTS? For years I have constantly been teaching all of my people that you need to “Practice, Drill and Rehearse” what you will say to people on your Initial Contact (AKA the Interview). It’s writing out your script, using the downloadable ones from the Interview Techniques training module as a guide, and then to practice those until you know them cold. You need to be able to conduct that interview NOT as if you are READING something, but it has to be natural AND interesting, and it

2

Page 3: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

must allow you to “connect” with your prospects. The ONLY way you can achieve those goals is to continually Practice, Drill and Rehearse that script over and over again. When I practice those tennis shots, “muscle memory” will retain those swing patterns for me, and with repeated practice, that “good swing” will become natural to me. So will rehearsing your scripts. When you really know them “cold,” you just need a few bullet points in front of you to make sure you cover all the essential points. But it begins with understanding the importance of putting in the time to Practice, Drill and Rehearse, and ALLOW yourself to “screw up” once in a while when you’re first starting. Remember, we all were “just starting” once, and we all had to learn how to do this, just like many of you do now. One of my favorite sayings is, “Every master was once a disaster.” That’s so true.

Action Steps

o So your Action Steps for this one is to review the “Interview Techniques” Training Module that you can find in under the “Prospecting” menu in the CTS Training Center. Make sure you download this script and re-write it so it makes complete sense with YOU saying it. And then Practice, Drill and Rehearse this one so you know it cold. If you take the time to do that, it will keep paying you over and over again every time you use it. This is a very simple thing to do, but it’s also a very simple thing NOT to do. But NOT doing this produces zero success for you, and that’s the “Road to Nowhere.” It’s your choice. The “productive” choice is to MAKE the time to do this NOW, so get working on this right away. Because best time to begin this or any task is always RIGHT NOW!

How Much Have YOU Made?

o Next, I want to address that question that everyone hates to get, “How much

money have YOU made with this so far?” We covered this one for the first time back in October of 2011. If you’re just getting started, like many of you are, this question can seem like the “kiss of death.” But it isn’t really. Here’s how I handled this question when I first started, and I hadn’t had any success with the program yet.

3

Page 4: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

Here’s What I Said

o Whenever a prospect asked that dreaded question, I said, “I’m brand new

here, in fact, you’re one of the first people I’ve spoken to. So believe me, if I can do this, ANYONE can. But I absolutely KNOW I’m on the path to financial freedom with this program. The really important thing for you to do right now is to determine how YOU feel about this program, and if it makes sense for you. Then, as you go through the process of learning about what we do, you’ll have an opportunity to meet lots of people who are doing extremely well here, OK?” And “OK” is said like a question, with an upward inflection at the end.

I Bragged About Being New

o Do you see what I did? I actually BRAGGED about being brand new, and then I turned the prospects focus onto making his or her own evaluation of the program first. That’s really important. When they attend a Q&A call, they’ll hear the stories of the hosts of those calls, who have all been very successful, and that objection will usually completely disappear. But this is a great way for all of the new people to handle this question.

Use Someone Else’s Story

o Also, if you have a successful inviter, you can weave his or her story in here as well. For example, I would then add, “In fact, my inviter had a successful Financial Planning business for 10 years prior to joining this program. But he left that after only 3 months to do this full time because he had so much success.” If you use a story like this, you again must turn the prospect’s focus onto his or her own evaluation, by saying, “But the really important thing for you to do right now is to determine how YOU feel about this program, and if it makes sense for you. Then, you’ll have an opportunity to meet lots of people who are doing extremely well here, OK?”

Preparation Breeds Confidence

o The better prepared you are for that Initial Call, the more confident you will

4

Page 5: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

be, and little scripts like these can easily be memorized so you can deliver them very effectively. In fact, we’ve attached a “Notes” document of this presentation that will be stored with the archived version of this Webinar that you can download at your convenience. That will give you the entire content of the script we just went through.

Action Steps

o So your Action Steps for this are to add this component to the script you created earlier, and make sure you “practice, drill and rehearse” this one so you can deliver it in your sleep. It’s a very short script so that should be a relatively simple task. You always want to have this powerful wording ready when you get asked, “How much have YOU made yet?” But again, this great information is of ZERO value to you unless you actually incorporate it into your process, so again, this is something you need to get after RIGHT NOW!

Fear of Rejection

o Next, I want to talk about something we first discussed in a Success Tip back in June of 2012, and that’s the fear of rejection. This is very likely one of the biggest reasons new members are so reluctant to begin picking up that phone.

Rejection Is A Fact of Life

o Certainly no-one wants to experience rejection, it simply isn’t pleasant. But being rejected is a “fact of life” in ANY opportunity like ours. Most people won’t accept your offering, many won’t like or “get” our program, and others simply aren’t serious about becoming financially free, which is what CTS offers. So that means they say NO! Rejection. For those of you who have never encountered this before, it can be very discouraging. But it really shouldn’t be, particularly when you understand what an indispensable commodity rejection is to the success we all seek. The truth is, you simply can’t get that YES, without experiencing many “No’s. And the very successful people who work CTS not only understand this concept, but they

5

Page 6: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

embrace it, and use it to their advantage.

Learn Your Rejection Rate

o They KNOW that rejection and getting told “NO” is a natural part of presenting ANYTHING. And they also understand what their “rejection” rate is before it turns into a success. For example, many people will move forward one out of every 5 good qualified prospects they encounter. That’s a pretty good ratio. But to find 5 good qualified prospects, they may need to call 100 leads, or Voice Broadcast to 10,000 or so prospects. So the bottom line is that doing a Voice Broadcast, or calling an entire Lead List can produce a signup. And that can mean up to $10,500 for you, if you’re participating and qualified at CTS Platinum. It’s very important for each of you to understand and accept the “numbers,” because they’re the key to your success.

Two Important Things

o There are two things that are important here. First, you need to understand and accept that rejection in our opportunity is not a “Stopping Stone,” but rather a “Stepping Stone” to success. Every NO you receive, brings you that much closer to a YES. You absolutely can’t get the YESES without the No’s. As soon as you truly accept that concept, rejection takes on a whole new meaning, and it really isn’t that bad anymore. Second, you need to be constantly working to improve your “Rejection Rate.” Here’s how you do that. You need to simply improve your process. You must get better at doing that initial interview, you must get better at qualifying prospects and weeding out those “Tire Kickers” early in the process, you must get better at following up and booking prospects on the Q&A calls, you must get better at moving prospects forward after they’ve been to the Q&A.

You Must Make The Effort

o All of the help you need to do that is right at your fingertips in the Training Center, but YOU must make the effort to research that information, learn and master it, and apply it every single day. It’s not easy, but it sure is

6

Page 7: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

profitable. Harvey MacKay, author of one of my favorite books, “How to Swim With The Sharks Without Being Eaten Alive” has a motto about rejection. Harvey says, “Don’t get dejected if you’ve been rejected. Just get your skills perfected!” I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Action Steps

o So that’s your “Action Step” for this segment. Earlier, we had you reviewing the “Interview Techniques” module and perfecting that script. Now, we want you to do the same thing with the rest of your process, using the “Information Process” training module as your guide. You can find that one under the “Prospecting” menu as well. The more time you spend perfecting this, the bigger and more frequent pledges you’ll receive. But nothing will happen unless you actually DO IT! And that doesn’t happen unless you get started, and as you may have heard, the best time to do that is RIGHT NOW!

Adding Value

o Next, I want to review the Success Tip we also did in June of 2012 where we discussed the topic of “Adding Value.” Surprisingly, this is the most overlooked subject when we are approaching new prospects, and it actually should the the ONE MAJOR goal that you have with each Initial Contact. Simply ask yourself one question, “How can I add value to this person’s life?

7

Page 8: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

The Foundation Of My Working Life

o One of the strongest mentors in my life, Zig Ziglar, taught me something more than 3 decades ago that quickly became the foundation for my entire business life from that moment forward, and it still is today. It was undoubtedly the most profound concept I have ever come across, and its’ power translates to everyone it touches. Here it is. Zig said, “You can have ANYTHING that you want in this life, if you’ll just help enough other people get what THEY want.” Let me say that again, and I highly recommend that each of you write down this quote and place it in a prominent space in your workplace. Here it is again. “You can have ANYTHING that you want in this life, if you’ll just help enough other people get what THEY want.”

The Golden Rule For Success

o This simple statement conveys the one true “golden rule” of success in anything. If you are constantly looking for ways you can add value to the people you encounter, you will consistently be helping them get what they want. Do that enough times, and you’ll get everything that YOU want. It simply can’t work any other way.

What Is Adding Value?

o But what SPECIFICALLY do we mean when we say we’ll be “Adding Value? That’s really very simple. All we need to do to add value to people’s lives is take the time to find out what they want out of life, and help them get on a path that will get them to where they want to go. This requires having a 2-way dialogue with prospects when you make that “Initial Contact” with them, and you need to ask them specifically what they are trying to achieve, and really LISTEN to what they tell you. Remember the “Golden Rule” we shared with you a few minutes ago. If you can help them get to where they want to go, you’ll get what YOU want in the process.

8

Page 9: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

Two Big Wants

o For most people we talk to, the two big “wants” that people have are money and time freedom. No-one has enough money, and no-one has enough time. Your task here is to simply position CTS as the real “Answer” to their problem, and if you do this in a professional and enthusiastic fashion, you’ll get a lot more prospects actually looking at our information. Once you get better at doing that, The CTS Presentation Center and the vast resources we provide for our members will do the rest for you. But remember, it all begins with that one main goal you have, and that’s “adding value” to every prospect you encounter. You’ll be amazed at how much your results can improve by implementing this one small change.

Action Steps

o So your “Action Steps” for this segment will be to really think through what your main goals have been when you make your Initial Contact with prospects. Have you been more focused on YOU than on THEM? If that’s the case, specifically what will you do from this moment forward to be more “prospect centric” in the future? The easy solution is to ask thought-provoking questions that will encourage your prospect to share their goals with you. Then simply focus on those goals, and show them how CTS has been the solution for many members with similar goals, and this incredible program can do the same for them, and share with them that your main mission will be to help them accomplish just that every step of the way. And of course, this is something that you need to begin doing RIGHT NOW!

Attitude Of Gratitude

o Next, I want to talk about something that is one of the main reasons I’ve been so blessed in my life, and that’s the “Attitude of Gratitude” I adopted several decades ago. That’s when things really began to go from “Good to Great,” and then from “Great” to “Spectacular.” And this was one of the main reasons why. We first talked about this in a Success Tip back in June of 2015.

9

Page 10: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

A Great Time Of Year

o We trust everyone had a great Holiday Weekend, and we’re all refreshed and invigorated and ready for a great week as we wind up 2016. This is a terrific time of year for me, as the during the Christmas season everyone just seems to be a lot happier. And for the most part, people are noticeably nicer to each other. And of course, I get to have some personal “downtime” where I can visit with good friends and family, eat great foods and spoil the people I care about most. I also make the time to do my yearly planning during these two weeks, so I know exactly what I want to accomplish for the next year. Also, this is a great time to reflect and appreciate the personal and financial freedom that entrepreneurship offers to each and every one of us. It really is there for the taking, we just have to go get it.

Lots to Be Grateful For

o Last week was an amazing week for me. I got some extremely productive work done, and I made lots of time for Holiday fun. I took some time to play tennis with my grandsons, I helped my granddaughter bake cookies (Yes, I can cook. My amazing vegetable soup is legendary in my family). And I took some time and reflected on just how blessed my life is. A day never goes by where I don’t verbally acknowledge my gratitude for what I have. I’m pretty healthy for an old guy, I live in an amazing place, I’m able to pursue the stuff I love literally whenever I want, I’m married to a great lady and I enjoy complete personal and financial freedom. But here’s the really important lesson in all of this.

Gratitude Attracts Abundance

o The more grateful you are for what you have, the more stuff you’ll have in your life to be grateful for. That’s right. The more grateful you are for what you have, the more stuff you’ll have in your life to be grateful for. This is one of those “Universal Truisms,” and it absolutely works. When you genuinely show and express appreciation for the blessings that come into your life, the “Law of Attraction” moves into full swing, and more of those things are

10

Page 11: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

naturally attracted to you. As every “Mindset” coach teaches, humans naturally gravitate towards their most predominant thoughts. So you literally become what you think about most. When your predominant thoughts are gratitude, you naturally attract more things into your life to be grateful for.

Only Sincere And Genuine Gratitude

o Can it really be that simple? Yes, but it must be SINCERE and GENUINE gratitude. And even if you’re not at the point you want to be at in your life just yet, we all have things we should be grateful for. Our health, the loved ones in our lives, the beauty that surrounds us, the little things we appreciate each day. You don’t need to be rich to be grateful, but gratitude is a key to becoming successful. There’s an old saying, “Be grateful for small blessings,” and it’s absolutely true. Because when I first began to show that “Attitude of Gratitude” decades ago, something amazing began to happen. I automatically began to focus first and foremost on providing value to others. It wasn’t something I even had to think about any more, it just happened. By focusing on providing value and on serving others, great things began to happen. Because great quantities of abundance come through great quantities of service. So there is the real answer. Be genuinely grateful for what you have, focus on providing value and serving others, and more abundance will come into your life. And there’s no better vehicle to make that happen than CTS. Try embracing this philosophy, and you just might amaze yourself at what can happen.

Action Steps

o So your “Action Steps” for this segment will be to think through and actually write a list of all of the things in your life that you are grateful for. Keep that list going all week long, and as things “pop into your mind,” add them to the list. By the time Sunday comes around and we begin the new year, you’ll be amazed at how long that list is. Your task over the next year will be to read that list twice every day, first thing in the morning and the last thing before bed each evening, and genuinely feel gratitude for each item on your list.

11

Page 12: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

And take some time to think about accomplishing some things you could add to that list. Before long, you actually WILL be able to add those things, as they will have come to fruition. And do we need to remind you when the best time is to begin writing that list? Hopefully, you get the picture by now.

Sense Of Urgency

o Next, I’d like to review another very valuable Success Tip we first introduced to you back in May of 2015, and that’s the importance of approaching your CTS activities with a genuine “Sense of Urgency.” We’ve talked about that on a few CTS Live Training Webinars, but some recent events in my own group and some others reminded me that this is something we must be consistently conscious of, and we can never let down our guard in this regard.

Resolve To Get Things Done

o First, what exactly do we mean when we say, “Sense of Urgency?” To me, that simply means that you approach every task with a determination and resolve to complete that task to the very best of your ability and as quickly as possible. Not once in a while, but every time. This is something that every successful person in every walk of life has incorporated into their daily routine, and it’s become a very productive habit for them.

Successful people MAKE Things Happen

o In May of 2015 we did a Live CTS Training Webinar where we talked about, “A Tale of Two Outcomes.” During that session, which you can easily access in the CTS Training Center, we discussed one member we called Bob that was creating a ton of success throughout his organization. Those members didn’t achieve that success by standing around waiting for things to happen, they went out and MADE things happen. That’s a key element that every successful member here shares, and it’s something that permeates every avenue of my life. Even when I’m just out running errands for an hour, I’m always moving quickly with a sense of purpose. I want to get these things completed as quickly as I can, so I can get back to some productive work.

12

Page 13: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

And it’s the same when I’m working CTS. The routine stuff, like sending Confirmation emails, updating my prospect list, setting up my broadcasts etc. are all completed with a high “sense of urgency,” so I can get on with speaking with prospects. And since I continue that urgency with everything in my life, it’s very easy for that to rub off on my prospects and my organization. All in all, the result is a more productive organization with much more CA$H generated.

Your Sense Of Urgency Is Everywhere

o My group gets things done; they get setup quickly and get the necessary training done thoroughly and in a timely manner. They don’t think about maybe starting some prospecting next week, they begin prospecting TODAY! And that “sense of urgency” is an absolute lifesaver when “life” tends to get in our way. We talk about that seemingly every week on our 6WAC. In a recent class, one member hadn’t done much prospecting for the week because she had visitors all week. Boy, I can sure relate to that, because as soon this place has been a madhouse for the past few weeks. And as soon Spring arrives where we live we have family and friends visiting every weekend and tons during the week for 2, 3 and 4 days at a time. My neighbor warned me as soon as I built a house on the lake and put in a pool we’d have friends coming out of the woodwork, and boy that sure seems to be the case.

Establish A No Exceptions Policy

o But the important thing is that being a very good host NEVER interferes with my work one iota. Why? Because I explain to all the family and friends that visit, that THEY may be on vacation, but I’M NOT! And the good news is that my work will allow me some free time to spend with them swimming, Seadooing, playing tennis and all the good stuff, but when it’s time for me to work, I expect to do that uninterrupted. And that’s exactly what I do. It doesn’t matter who’s visiting, when it’s time for me to be at my desk speaking with prospects, following up with a Voice Broadcast or supporting my team, that’s where I am. And I don’t accept any interruptions

13

Page 14: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

whatsoever during these times. The key to making this work is that I have a “No Exceptions” policy when it comes to my “sense of urgency,” and I make sure that all of my visitors are aware upfront of my work-time and when I expect to be available. Fortunately, my wife is a great hostess and she pretty well looks after things for me when I need to work. But it’s the unwavering commitment and urgency I apply to my work that really makes this simple to implement. And you know what? Everyone understands, no one complains that I don’t spend enough time with them, and I always get my scheduled and “impromptu” tasks completed without a problem. It can work for you as well, but you MUST get serious about CTS, set a working schedule, and stick to it no matter what. And you need to get moving with purpose and intentionality. That will really help you ramp up your “sense of urgency” in your tasks. And remember, this can’t be a “once in a while” thing. It must become an “all the time” thing.

Action Steps

o So here are your “Action Steps” for this segment. If you don’t have a daily, weekly and monthly Working Schedule for CTS, you need to get that set up immediately. You must plan how many hours each day, week and month you will devote to working CTS and write it down in a Calendar. Whatever you record, you must stick to, no matter what. That’s a key “sense of importance” that you need to apply to this program. Next, as you’re carrying out your activities, be aware of your “tempo.” Are you just strolling along, or do you look like you mean business? And I mean both mentally and physically. Sometimes I get so much stuff going on I’m almost “crazed,” but that’s when I’m the most productive. After a day like that, where I seem to be in a frenzy pretty much all day, I’ve accomplished more in that day than most people will get done in a week. And it feels absolutely great. So right now, you need to ramp up your “Sense of Urgency” and get these action steps completed. Make sure you begin monitoring what you do at the end of every day, every week and every month. Compare what you did with what you planned to do. If you didn’t get everything accomplished, make

14

Page 15: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

whatever adjustments you need to make, ramp up your “Sense of Urgency” and get working on tomorrow. Again, this must be an “all the time” thing.

Commitment

o Next on our list is a Success Tip we did for you in October of 2014, where we talked about “Commitment.” I shared with you a neat experience that happened to me that very much illustrates this topic.

My Daily Routine

o Every morning my routine is pretty much the same. I get up between 5:00 and 5:30 am, I work in my home office for about an hour and then hit the gym and have a shower. I finish up a little after 8:00 am, and that’s when I get my Golden Retriever Baylee out of bed, and we go through her morning routine. I must admit I do spoil her rotten, but that’s another story. After she’s been fed and walked, she gets her morning car ride as we go up to the store to get the paper together. One day as we were doing this, we encountered a group of 3 women that were out for a run, and of course we waived at each other as I passed. Everyone waives in small community like this. I see these gals out running together all the time, so that wasn’t unusual at all.

This Group Is Committed

o When I got home, after about an hour or so my wife and I decided to go down to the local restaurant for an early brunch, and when we got there, who should we encounter but the group of ladies that had been out running. I started chatting with Kim, one of the runners, and she said that they run together 4 days a week, rain or shine. They’ve been doing this for over 3 ½ years now, and it’s very rare that any one of them ever misses a day. I couldn’t help but comment on how committed they were, and Kim replied, “That’s the only way you accomplish anything.” And I noted that most people are only committed when it’s convenient to them, and Kim replied with, “Those people likely don’t accomplish very much.”

They Show Up No Matter What

o We had a great Brunch with a wonderful group of people, but that was a very important lesson from Kim. I thought about that a lot on the way home. These gals run three ½ marathons every year for various charities, and the running they do together daily is their “training” for those big runs. Each one of them is totally committed to that. No matter what’s happening in their personal lives, they show up to run. It doesn’t matter if it’s raining, snowing or anything else. They just dress for the weather and go out and run. What about you? How committed are you to your success here at CTS? Do YOU show up to make those calls every day no matter how you feel, no matter how busy you are, no matter what else is happening in your life? Recently I was speaking with a member of my group that hadn’t finished what they committed to doing the last week, and the first 2 minutes of our conversation was all the things that were happening in his life that prevented him from doing those calls. He wouldn’t last long in Kim’s group. As she so aptly stated, “Those people likely don’t accomplish very much.”

They Adjust Their Schedules

o Three out of four of those women work pretty much full time, but they still keep the commitment to run. How do they do that? They each have adjusted their work schedule to accommodate their running days, and of course, they run on the days that it’s easiest for all of them to make it. But too many of our members let their personal lives control them so much, they never make the time to do what’s necessary to be successful here. And that’s such a shame, because all that does is deny those people the opportunity to become financially free. If you won’t become “committed,” by default you are resigning yourself to mediocrity for the rest of your life.

Action Steps

o So here are your “Action Steps” for this segment, and it’s a challenge to each one of you. Take a close look at your commitment to CTS. Ask yourselves, what could I arrange differently to create more time to work CTS,

16

Page 17: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

what could I do that would allow me to make my CTS time more productive? What could I do with my schedule that will allow more dedicated and focused time with this remarkable opportunity? Next, create a new plan that supports the answers to those questions, and begin to work that with your renewed “Sense of Urgency” every day. If you actually DO this and stay committed to continue doing it, you’ll be amazed at the effect it will have in your Bank Balance. And of course, the time to put that into action is RIGHT NOW!

Integrity

o No “Best Of CTS Success Tips” would be complete without including an extremely important one we brought to you in March of 2014 when we talked about “Integrity.”

Integrity Is Different From Reputation

o As may of you know, one of the strongest mentors in my life is Dr. John Maxwell, who is generally regarded as the foremost authority on developing Leadership Skills. I heard John talk recently about “Integrity,” which is one of the key building blocks of success. A lot of people confuse INTEGRITY with REPUTATION. Reputation is what people THINK you are; INTEGRITY is what you really ARE!

17

Page 18: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

It’s An Important Core Value

o Integrity is one of the most important core values an individual can possess. People with high INTEGRITY walk their talk. With those people, what they SAY and what they DO are consistent. That’s a hallmark of a person with Integrity. You must mean what you say and say what you mean. In other words, if I tell someone I’m going to do something, they can count on that thing being done. Your word must be your Bond, if you wish to live a life of Integrity. And it can’t be a “Once in a While” thing, it must be an “All The Time” thing. Integrity can’t be a “part time” effort.

It’s Key With CTS Members

o In our activity, Integrity is paramount. We display Integrity by being completely honest and open about the program with prospects. We don’t exaggerate the considerable potential of CTS; that just isn’t done; we have no need to do that. We share the information with suitable prospects and allow them to arrive at their own informed conclusion. And when new members join with us, we commit to helping them get started, and we honor those commitments. My father had the best saying that I’ll always remember. He said, “If you don’t have Integrity, you don’t have ANYTHING! I’ve always kept that phrase in the forefront of my mind as I work CTS.

Be Honest And Open With Everyone

o And Integrity means being completely honest and open with all those you deal with. Someone once said, “You can tell the integrity of a man by noticing how he treats those who cannot help him in any way.” I think that’s a very good assessment of an individual’s level of integrity. How do YOU treat the people you encounter every day? The server at the restaurant, the clerk at the dry cleaners, the Customer Service person at the bank? Do you treat them with respect and courtesy? Integrity DEMANDS that you do.

Action Steps

o So here’s your “Action Step” for this segment. I think it’s a good idea for all of us to do an “Integrity Check” every once in a while, just to ensure we’re on the right track with that. Just think about how consistent your actions are with what you say; think about how reliable and forthright others would say you are; and also think about how YOU treat others as you go through your daily routine. Make a list of changes you think you need to make to raise your level of integrity, not just in your dealings with CTS, but ALL areas of your life. I think we’ll all find plenty of situations where we can improve, and become a better person for our efforts. And by now you all know when you need to begin this process. Of course, it’s RIGHT NOW!

Reflecting And Planning

o On our final Success Tip for 2014, as we geared up for a brand new year just as we all are doing now, we talked about something critical to this time of year. So I think this is an excellent topic to end tonight’s training with. Most of my time this week is focused on two things, Reflecting and Planning. Let’s talk a little about each of these and why they’re important.

Reflecting Is The Key To Change

o First, reflecting is key to change. Taking a good hard look at where we were a year ago and thinking about how the year went, how close we are to achieving what we set out to do last year at this time, provides some invaluable insights into how we can be more effective and achieve better results this year. If you’re one of those people that gets’ stuck in the same rut every year of making new years resolutions and never following through with them, some serious reflection can tell you exactly WHY your goals never panned out.

19

Page 20: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

Re-Evaluate Your Priorities

o And reflection also keeps us mindful of our priorities, and it’s always a good thing to re-evaluate those at least on a yearly basis. If you want to become financially free with CTS, it MUST become one of the top priorities in your life. Let me give you a very recent example of this. Yesterday, one of our support people forwarded something to me regarding the upcoming 6WAC. One member sent an email saying that he really wanted to take this course but he couldn’t because one of the weeks during the class the Super Bowl was on. I honestly couldn’t believe what I was reading. Before the 6WAC existed, we had a fabulous Super Bowl party at our house every year, and it was a terrific event that about twenty of our friends attended without fail. That fun filled tradition ended the moment we began this course, because invariably I’ll be doing a class on that night. The solution for me was very simple. My success at CTS and the success of my members and each one of you is an incredibly high priority for me. And I also know each of us has to “give up to go up.” So I willingly gave up that social event that I loved so much in favor of an opportunity to teach and inspire others to become successful. Now that doesn’t mean that I miss the game entirely. I simply record the game and watch it later. But the key to all of this is simply understanding where your priorities lie, what’s really important in your life, and arranging your actions accordingly. If CTS isn’t a high priority for you, you have very little chance of success here. It’s that simple.

You Must Plan For Success

o So “honest reflection” of last year is a key element in changing the direction of the coming year. But to ensure that more positive results are achieved in 2017, you MUST become a planner. We talk a lot about “Goal Setting” in our Webinars and in our Success Tips as well. Let me summarize with three simple points how to make sure you go from a “Goal Setter” to a “Goal Getter!” Here’s all you need to do:

1. Know what you want,2. Know WHY you want it, and3. Know what it will take to get it.

20

Page 21: tracking.cashtrackingsystem.com viewThe end result was that during this practice session, I had hit over 600 ball, and I had one particular area of focus. When I was serving, I didn’t

o Those 3 steps are critical for you to understand and accept, and all of your planning revolves around the 3rd point, knowing what it will take to get it.

You Must Execute The Plan

o We’ve given you some great tips here this evening on how to put together a plan that will allow you to obtain the success you seek, and it’s key that you actually follow through with that. For more details on the “Planning Process,” review the “Goals” training module in the CTS Training Center. You can find that one under the “Self Improvement” tab. But we all know the most important component of planning is in the EXECUTION of the plan. Nothing happens until you put that plan into ACTION! Jenny Craig, the weight loss Guru, had a great quote about action. She said, "It's not what you do once in a while; it's what you do day in and day out that makes the difference." And ladies and gentlemen, therein lies one of the real secrets of success. Success is achieved by making positive choices and taking productive actions on a consistent basis over a period of time. It’s your DAILY AGENDA that produces consistent success, not that “one week” where you prospected heavily, and then didn’t do very much for the next month or so. It’s taking positive and productive actions every day that builds consistent and long-term success, and that’s what honest reflection and serious planning can do for you.

Action Steps

o So here are your “Action Steps” for this segment. I highly recommend that each of you put together a written Action Plan for 2017. Again, the “Goal Setting” training module in the CTS Training Center is a great resource to help you do that. And make sure you spend some time the rest of this week reflecting on 2016. What worked well? What not-so-much? What really bombed for you? As you put together your 2017 plan, what will you change to ensure you’ll be more successful this year? What can you realistically COMMIT to doing on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to improve your results for 2017? We gave you some great tips here tonight, and we trust you will find these really helpful in putting together that plan. Then, begin

executing that plan every day, every week and every month of 2017. And of course, RIGHT NOW is always the perfect time to get started.
