Two month’s into the New Year already, where has time gone…… first school holiday already passed & Easter just around the corner. Keep a look out for the Easter programme which will be available to view on our website very soon. Future holiday dates are available to view on our Simply Play website.

Children have been enjoying some outdoor physical play such as Grass Sledging, Football, messy Colourfest, and Buildy Tig. Indoors we have seen some amazing moves in our Dance Off activity, messy squirty gun painting & sensory slime play. We ensure that all children have the opportunity to experience active play, indoors and outdoors. Through a range of activities children will develop skills to access and manage risk in play. Develop physical skills and build in confidence. We provide support and encouragement, allowing children to make healthy choices.

We have recently had a Simply Play Club audit by Marion Herriot, OOSC Development Manager & Shirley Thomson, Childcare Development worker. As part of the process we are updating our files, we will be asking parents/carers to complete relevant paperwork at the club. During this process may we ask for a little of your time and continued support. Just a little reminder to keep us up-to-date with all relevant info needed on your child/children’s personal files e.g. changes to address/telephone numbers. Also please ensure all relatives/friends who pick up your children, on your behalf are listed on child’s registration form!!

Who participated in our November 2016 questionnaires!!

The outcome of our evaluations and what areas we will look to improve on are as follows:

Children are encouraged to have input into compiling the snack menu Parents/Carers are regularly consulted with information about the club Provide a wide range of resources/activities to suit the needs of the older children Improve communication, seeking parents/carers ideas & suggestions

All of the above will be addressed within our Club Improvement Plan 2017.
