Objective: Create a public service advertisement that could be in a magazine, newspaper or on a billboard to make the public aware of your important issue or garner support.

Requirements:

- You must create ONE public service advertisements that uses a persuasive technique. - Your advertisement can utilize more than one technique - Hand draw your pictures or symbols in your advertisement - Other ideas to make your ad effective:

Rubric for Print Advertisements

Standard: Students can utilize persuasive techniques effectively in a product of their creation.

(A: 20 pts.) I clearly show that I can utilize persuasive techniques in a print advertisement. It is clear that I thought about which technique to use and about which technique would be most effective with my public service issue. It’s clear that I know

I might have used persuasive techniques, but they might not have been the most effective ones to use for my issue (i.e. using humor for an issue like animal abuse). but they might not have executed effectively. It’s not completely clear that I understand how to use persuasive techniques effectively in a print advertisement.
