LEISURE COMMITTEE ARE HOLDING A FUSED GLASS WORKSHOP AT STURMER VILLAGE HALL ON 5 MARCH 2018 10.00 AM – 12.30 PM APPROXIMATELY. COST OF THIS WORKSHOP IS £25.00 MEMBERS ONLY

For this workshop we have invited Katie Lynn from Molten Wonky to lead this workshop. Katie is based in North Essex and studied stained glass at Chelsea School of Art.

In this workshop you will be making a fused glass 10 x 12 cm picture or a 10 x 10 cm coaster using different types of specialist glass. You will do a simple design on to paper. A clear glass template is then laid over this image and you will decorate it by gluing glass granules and fragments, stringer rod, glass confetti and glitter on to this template. Katie will then take your work back to the studio and fire it and it will be ready the following week. This will be collected and will be available for collection either from Sturmer or if more convenient will be taken to Park Farm. Please think what you would like to create and remember that simple and bold designs often work best.
