Dedicated to Art for All, Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts (MHCA) is the community’s arts center, providing lifelong, accessible engagement in the arts. We strive to actively involve the community in innovative, creative endeavors in arts education and the performing and visual arts. We connect community members to the arts by partnering with arts organizations, teaching artists, schools, and community-based organizations to deliver quality artistic experiences to all members of our community.
We are in search of a Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist for our organization. This full-time job plays a vital and important function for our growing, fast-paced organization with a reputation for high-quality programs and community engagement.

We are looking for the right candidate to especially have:• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent work experience)• Work experience in jobs or internships that demonstrate experience, initiative, self-motivation, and follow-through (number of years might range from 1-5, or may not matter if you can do the job)• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills • Ability to create story ideas, media pitches, messaging and marketing tactics about programs that provide fresh perspectives on how to engage new audiences • Prior experience using social media, SEO/SEM, email marketing platforms, and CRM software
• Strong administrative skills, including high attention to detail• Focus on organization and time management• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel); Photoshop and InDesign helpful• Ability and willingness to manage multiple tasks and priorities

How You Will Spend Your Days
Work with the VP, Marketing and Development in the development of organization-wide marketing and communications strategies to meet both short-term and long-term institutional and financial goals
Implement all PESO marketing tactics, including print/broadcast/direct mail/e-commerce/blog, with a goal of creating engaging, efficient, cost-effective, and targeted campaigns to grow audiences
o Create engaging content for the organization’s social media platformso Coordinate advertising for print, broadcast and online outletso Draft press releases, PSAs, and other promotional materials for varied media
outletso Execute SEO/SEM tactics and strategies to build brand awareness and
engagement Work collaboratively with the Education Department and Performing Arts/Box Office to
develop sales projections for performances and classes to maximize revenue and generate sales
Maintain MHCA web site and maximize its use as a marketing tool through continued innovation
Strengthen and promote the brand locally and regionally Identify and execute media sponsorship opportunities Utilize and expand uses of Tessitura database, related email marketing platform Word
Fly and other new technology in support of MHCA marketing goals. • Assume responsibility for maintenance of office equipment, including

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The work is performed primarily in an office setting with some local travel required. Mileage is reimbursed for certain required travel.
SupervisionThe Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist will report to the VP, Marketing and Development.
Salary and BenefitsSalary is competitive and dependent on education and job experience. Benefits include health insurance, holiday, vacation, sick leave and retirement.
