GeneralTermsandConditionsforEnrolmentintheTchaikovskyMusicSchool(NPO)1. Admissiontotheschool

StudentswhowanttoattendclassesatTchaikovskyMusicSchoolmustbeacceptedbeforehandbythegeneralboardoftheschool.Inordertobeaccepted,studentsmust:-fillintheregistrationform(fornewpupils);-sendawrittenrequesttothesecretariatifthestudentwantstoenrollagainforthenextschoolyear;-paytheyearlyadministrativecostsandinvoicesreceivedatthebeginningofeachperiod;-understandthattheteacherswillgivetheclassesoncetheyhavereceivedawrittenconfirmationfromtheadministrationthattheinvoicehasbeenpaid.Studentscannotattendclassesuntilallpaymentshavebeenmade.2.Administrative,managementcostsandinsuranceof30perschoolyearmustbepaidbyeachstudentwhateverthenumberofclassesattendedpermonth,quarterorcalendaryear(notrefundable).3.Reregistrationandinterruption.3AinterruptionStudentisautomaticallyenrolledforthewholeschoolyear(fromthefirstclassto30thJune).- Individualclasses:Ifthestudentwishestostoptakingclassesattheschool,awrittennoticemustbesenttotheadministration,mentioningthe

dateofthelastlessontobetaken.- Semi-collectiveclasses:Sameprocedureasforindividualclasses,applyingforbothstudents.- Collectiveclasses:Childrenareregisteredfortheentireperiod,endinginDecemberorJune.Incaseofinterruption,norefundwillbemade.- 3BRe-registration- Forre-registration,pleasefillintheformandsenditbacktothesecretariatbeforeMay30thandpaytheadministrativecostsfortheyear.- Classesstartagainasfromthe1stSeptemberofthenextschoolyear.

4.GeneralPaymentInformationA)Private/IndividuallessonsIindividuallessonsmustbepaidINADVANCEatthebeginningofatwo-monthperiod,i.e:September-October,November-December,January-February,March-April,May-June.Invoicesforprivatelessonsmustbepaidassoonasreceived.Thepaymentofallprivatelessonsismadeonlybymeansofatwo-monthflatfeecoveringtheperiodinquestion(8lessonspertwo-monthperiod).Thedurationofthelessonscanbechangedwiththeapprovaloftheteacherandtheadministrationonly.Theinvoiceiscalculatedfromthefirstclassuntiltheendofthetwo-monthperiod.Incasethestudentdidn'tgetallclassesoftheperiod,theexceedingamountwillbeusedforthenextperiodandthenextinvoicewillberecalculatedaccordingly.Incaseofinterruption,arefundoftheclassesthatdidnottakeplacewillbedoneatthebeginningofthenexttwo-monthperiod.Attheendofeachtwo-monthperiod,theschooladministrationsendsbyemailalistofattendanceregisteredbytheteachers.Thelistcanbecontestedwithinthenext2days.Afterthatperiod,theadministrationwilltakeintoconsiderationthedatesgivenbyteachers.The8lessoninvoiceforthenextperiodisthensentassoonaspossible.Theinvoicemustbepaidwithin10days.Incaseoflatepaymentafineof5euroswillbechargedtothenextinvoice.Incaseofregularproblemsofpaymentsordelayedpayments,theschoolcandecidetocanceltheregistration.Cancellationofprivatelessons:- Thelessonwillnotbechargedifthestudent/parentinformstheschooladministrationoftheabsenceinwritingatleast24hoursbeforethe

beginningofthescheduledlesson.Otherwise,thelessonwillbechargedandnocompensationcanberequested.

-Thestudentcancancelmaximum3lessonsinarow.After3absences,theschoolcannotguaranteethatthetimeslotwillremainavailable.B)Semi-collectivelessons(twopupils)Allrulesandregulationsofpaymentthatapplyforindividuallessonsarethesameforsemi-collectivelessons.Theonlydifferenceis:Ifonlyoneofthetwopupilscannotattendthescheduledlesson,thislessonshallbegivenandaccountedfor.Noreimbursementwillbemade.Incaseofinterruptionofoneofthetwostudents,thelessonwillbeconvertedintoanindividuallesson.C)GrouplessonsThegrouplessonsmustbepaidatthebeginningofeachperiod:September-December(4months),January-June(6months).Childrenareregisteredfortheentireschoolyear.Ifparentswishtocanceltheregistrationforthenextperiod,theymustsendanotetotheschooladministration.Incaseofinterruptionwithintheperiod,norefundwillbemade.Ifthechild(newinscription)doesnotstartthelessonsonthefirstdayoftheperiod,theinvoiceshallbecalculatedasfollow:thenumberoflessonstakenduringthefirstmonthx10euros(45minutes)orx15euros(1hourandahalf)+flatfeefortheremainingmonthsoftheperiodinquestion.Payattention:Incaseofabsence,parentswillnotbeentitledtoanyrefund.Thechildcanattendanothercollectiveclasstocompensatefortheabsenceifpossible.(tobeagreedwithteacher/administration)ThetimetableissetinadvanceforallcollectiveclassesinaccordancewiththeBelgianSchoolcalendar.Duringtheschoolholidaystherearenocollectiveclasses.Anextensionofholidayisbynomeansavalidreasonforeitherobtainingareimbursementorguaranteeingthepupilsplace.Theschoolisopened7daysaweek.AllholidaysstartonaMonday.thelastclassbeforetheholidayswillthereforebeaSunday.Incaseofinsufficientnumberofstudents,thecollectiveclasscanbecanceled.D)GeneralPaymentInformationInvoicesaresentbyEmail.Ifyoudontreceivetheinvoice,itisyourresponsibilitytocontacttheadministration.Paymentcanalsobemadeattheschoolsecretariat.Incaseofpaymentbybanktransfer,kindlyindicatethereferencenumberindicatedonyourinvoice.Ifseveralstudentsofthesamefamilyareenrolled,paymentmustbemadeforeachseparately.Ifonestudentisenrolledinvariousclasses,paymentmustbemadeforseparately.E)ForceMajeure/extraordinarycircumstancesLessonsfeeswillbereimbursedonlyifthecompetentauthoritieshaveinstructedtheschooltocloseforanygivenreason(i.esecurityconcerns).F)OthercasesIncaseofstrikes,demonstrations,publictransportationdisruption,lessonsfeeswillnotreimbursed.

G)Incasethestudentneedstobeaccompaniedduringtheevaluationsandconcert(forflute,guitar,violin,andsinging),apaymentwillbeasked.Tocoverthepianistsfees.5.SchoolHolidayDuringtheschoolholidaysandnationalholidays(seetheBrussels-WalloniaFederationcalendar):- therearenocollectiveclasses- Individualorsemi-collectivelessonscanbeorganizedifstudentsandteacherswishto.Teachersandschooladministrationwillbeinformedin

advance.OfficialNationalHoliday:ChristmasDay:25thDecember;NewYear1stJanuary,EasterMonday,LabourDay1stMay,Ascension,PentecostMonday,AllSaintsDays-1stNovember,RemembranceDay11thNovember.Theschoolisopened7daysaweek.AllholidaysstartonaMonday.thelastclassbeforetheholidayswillthereforebeaSunday.Incaseofinsufficientnumberofstudents,thecollectiveclasscanbecanceled.6.Schedule,teacher,modification,cancellationandrefundingA)Thelessonsaregivenonfixeddaysandatregulartimeaccordingtotheclassschedulethathasbeenarrangedwiththeteacherandthesecretariat.Thestudentmustarriveatschool10minbeforethebeginningofthelesson.Ifthestudentislate,thelessoncannotbeprolongedandwillnotberefunded.B)Ateacherisassignedtoastudentfortheentireschoolyear.Ifthestudentwantstochangethelessonlength,he/shemusttalkwithhisteacherwhowillinformtheschoolsecretariat.Theschoolsecretariatistakingcareofthenewstudentstimetable.Forchangeofscheduleduringtheyear,thestudentsshoulddiscusswiththeteacher.C)Iftheteacherisabsent:-Forindividualandsemi-collectivelessonsTheschoolguaranteesthatstudentswillalwaysgethighlevelqualitylessonsgivenbyhighlyqualifiedteachers.However,foranygivenreason,theschoolcandecidetoassignanewteacherinthecourseoftheschoolyear.Iftheteachercannotgivethescheduledlesson,therearetwopossibilities:-theschedulelessonisgivenbyasubstituteteacher;-thelessonispostponedinagreementwiththestudentandtheteacher.-ForcollectivelessonsThegrouplessonsaregivenasplanned(samedayandtime)byasubstituteteacher.D)Duringtheschoolyear,scheduleforadulttakingindividualorsemi-collectiveclassesduringtheday,mayvary,astheschooladministrationalwaystriestoallocatetheafternoonscheduleforchildren.Inthatcase,studentswillbeinformedofanychangeatleast24hoursinadvance..7.DiplomaandattendancecertificateInordertoreceiveaschooldiploma,thestudentmustpassallcompulsoryevaluations(3)andtakepartintheconcertsandfestivals(2)organizedbytheschool.Forthosewhoareabsentforvalidreasons,awrittennoticeshouldbesentbytheparents.Inthiscase,theexamwillbearrangedatalaterdatebytheteacherandtheadministration.Withoutavalidreason,thepupilswillnotpasstheexamandwillnotreceivetheirdiploma.Theexamslistisorganizedbylevelsandbyalphabeticalorder.Incaseastudentcannotattendthescheduledexamdaysandwishtotaketheexamswithpupilsfromotherlevelsformedicalreasonsorforotherreasons(parentsbusinesstrip,familyproblems,etc.),writtennoticeisalwaysrequired.Withoutavalidreason,studentswillnotbeacceptedatalaterdateandwillnotreceivetheirdiploma.Certificate:Ifthestudenttakespartinatleast50%oftheactivities,acertificatecanbedoneatthesecretariatuponrequestAnattendancecertificatecanbedelivereduponrequestatthesecretariat.8.ClaimAllstudentswhohaveregisteredandhavepaidthefirstinvoicehavereadandsignedandagreedwiththeaforementionedgeneralconditions.AllclaimsindisagreementwiththeaforementionedconditionsfallwithintheabilitiesofinferiorcourtsoftheFrench-speakingjudicialdistrictofBrussels,andinparticulariftheobjectofdisagreementisanamountsuperiorto1860,ofthejudicialdepartmentcalledJusticeofPeaceofWoluwe-St-Lamber(AvGrandchamps1471150Bruxelles).9.TheSchoolAdministrationhastherighttomodifyatanytimethetermsandregulationsinordertoensurebetterfunctioningoftheschoolandservicesprovided.Parentsandstudentswillbeinformedaccordingly.(Version01.01.2017)
