A Note from Mrs. BaslerPLEASE try to return class books the day after reading them. It will help our books circulate from student to student in a more timely manner.
Rest items will come home today. We will still have a rest period of quiet reading, but we do not need our blankets and pillows.The first trimester ends this week. I am busy working on progress reports and look forward to sharing them in a few weeks!
HalloweenThe children are all very excited about Halloween! We will have special birthday treats on the 31st and will do various Halloween activities. Please keep costumes and candy at home! Thanks!

Reading: Talk CurriculumThis week students will talk about what they notice and what they are reminded of while listening to and reading books.
Writing: Writing for ReadersStudents will be introduced to three types of punctuation: question marks, periods, and exclamation marks.
Math: Counting and ComparingWe will focus on recognizing and writing the tricky teens.
Social Studies: This is My CountryThis week we will make American flags, and students will learn about the voting process. We will vote for some classroom favorites.
