This program has a registration fee of £300.00 per person.

The University will host your stay no additional or hidden fees – you will just need some spending money!

Highlight of this exchange program:
1. 3 days of Orientation to learn basic Chinese language, understand Chinese culture, and learn about the Chinese education system.
2. Partner with Chinese University students, meet tutor to learn Chinese and personal guide when staying in China.

3. Visit famous beautiful local scenery spots, to appreciate the beauty of the nature and the core of Chinese culture.
4. Manage a class of primary & middle school students by designing activities to share western culture, and to motivate the students to communicate in English.
5. Stay in the great campus of Huawen College, Xia’men city, a beautiful beach city with a deep history and culture.
6. Good chance to get to know China by meeting students of different ages from all over China. Enjoy the great feeling of being a teacher (informal) to children, meet young people from all over the world, a student to learn Chinese, to learn about China’s culture. Overall, far more than being a tourist … you are one of the team!
What we need from the participants:
1. Age: 17 - 35 years old.
2. Application will be approved in China, they will inform Tru Experience Travel of the acceptance or rejection within 2 days. Application must include CV with passport size picture, with scanned passport information. To confirm Nationality and date of birth. Record of University Degree if applicable.
3. No serious teaching involved. But the participants should enjoy being with children. The main tasks will be designing activities to explain western culture, to motivate the children to communicate in English. In return you will spend time sightseeing in Xia’men.

The College (formerly Jimei Continuation School for Overseas Students) was established in 1953 by Mr. Tan Kah Kee and authorised by the State Council. For sixty years, the college has cultivated over 40,000 students from home and ninety-four countries and regions. So far, they have had nearly 1,000 overseas students from more than 30 countries and regions, mainly from Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, America, Britain, Germany, France, and Chinese Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Situated in the Jimei School Village, Xiamen, our campus enjoys picturesque sceneries overlooking sea.

JIMEI is an area of culture and education, called JIMEI SCHOOL VILLAGE, which not only has many schools, colleges and universities, but also ‘schools in village, village in schools’ has become a special style of the JIMEI district, well-known in FUJIAN. At present, with the development of the number and scale of schools, JIMEI school village is transferring to JIMEI college town.
