Red Hat Vendors will be trading over the weekend and there will be some wonderful Red Hat Merchandise for you to indulge in both Friday afternoon and evening, and all day Saturday.

PROGRAM

Friday 24 Feb

2.00pm – 5.00 pm Registrations Meet, Greet and Mingle, or enjoy some retail therapy with our wonderful Red Hat vendors or just settle into your room to prepare for our Beach Party.

Please advise if you are bringing a banner and what size it is. Banners to be handed in on Friday during registrations.

6.00pm – 11.00 pm Our BEACH PARTY begins CANAPES in the Foyer (this is your time to mix and meet new friends)

WELCOME DINNER – a sumptuous 2 course dinner - main and dessert.

DRINKS at BAR PRICES

Remember when you went to the beach, or sat listening to the Beach Boys, or watched Frankie Avalon and Annette Funnicello in those great beach party movies, well now is your chance to relive those lazy hazy days. We have fantastic entertainment with great song and dance music that you won’t be able to resist.

Dress Code: No color restrictions tonight - Dress in your spunky, daggy, glamorous, casual or whatever style beach wear and come along and dance to those hits of yesteryear.

There will be a beach bag, and a beach hat competition - so glam up those beach bags and beach hats to enter. Of course there will be prizes for the best ones and the most innovative.

Saturday 25 Feb

7.30am – 9.30am Full buffet breakfast. Open seating Official Red Hat Attire

9.30am - Optional Tram Boat Cruise –

Cruise up the Yarra River to your mystery destination, enjoy delicious lunch, time to shop, have a coffee.

9.30am – Optional Day Trip - Bus Tour to the Yarra Valley – Bus trip includes visit to the Warratina Lavender Farm (lavender scones/Devonshire tea), Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and Ice Creamery (with free samples of the most delicious chocolate), time to shop in historic Healesville, along the shady tree-lined main street boulevard, which features a large selection of specialty shops, hotels and cafes.

Additional Cost TBA - depending on numbers – so please register your interest early so we can offer the best possible price.

1.00pm -5.00pm Join us for a fun craft afternoon to make a very easy Red hat.

Included are all the base items you will need - your red circular place mat, a head band and glue.

To add to your hat please bring extra decorations to complete your own style, flowers, blossom, ribbon, netting, feathers, even pipe cleaners - or anything special to personalize your hat. These hats are so simple and take about 20 minutes to make, you will be so proud of your stylish handmade hat.

Numbers are limited for this free craft session, so please book early to secure your spot. Only those who have a booking will be able to make a hat.

2.00pm – 3.00pm A Boot Scootin dance class - Space permitting there will be a lesson in ‘boot scootin’ to get you in the swing for tonight’s Gala Dinner – again numbers are limited so please register your interest in taking part in this lesson.

The weekend is yours to enjoy, this is Your Time and it is Your Decision to join in one, two, all or none of these extra activities, but be sure to make the most of your time in

Melbourne and have a ball.

7.00pm – 11.00pm GALA DINNER

Boot Scootin’ Cowgirls

Enjoy a 3 Course Gala Gourmet Dinner,

Drinks at the Cash Bar followed by dancing.

Dress Code: No color restrictions tonight. Dress in your boot scootin’ clothes for a night of toe tapping and heel kicking to several sessions of good ole Country and Western Music.

Dress in your Jeans, checkered shirts or fringed skirts and tops, specialty cowgirl attire or your Red Hat clothes, just be sure you do not miss this Gala Event.

And don’t forget your Cowboy Hat.

Entertainment will be Country & Western as well as 70’s 80’s and 90’s dance music.

No night would be complete without prizes, so dress your best and rope yourself a prize.

There will be lucky table prizes as well as other surprises.

Sunday 26 Feb

7.30am – 10.00am FAREWELL BREAKFAST

Dress Code: Come in your PJ’s, dressing gown or wacky travel clothes and join us for a -

MAD HATTERS BREAKFAST

Full buffet breakfast in the Convention Room where we will Farewell our old and new found friends

10.00am - Queens Counsel

At the conclusion of the convention there will be a Gathering of the Royal Court, all Queens, Vice Queens, Queen Mothers and future Royalty are welcome to meet in the Convention Room to discuss Red Hat matters.
