OUR ATHLETES study and pray together, go on retreats, help in the community,
grow spiritually, become lifelong learners – and win big games! Greenville College teams have 30
conference league championships and four conference tournament championships in the last 15
years. Men’s track and field teams have won 10 NCCAA national championships, men’s soccer has
made three appearances in the NCAA national tournament, and the volleyball team has qualified
for the NCAA tournament once. The football team has taken UMAC conference championships or
shared the UMAC conference title three times, and has also qualified for five NCCAA Victory Bowls,
winning the game in 2012. The baseball, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, men’s soccer, and
men’s tennis teams have competed in NCCAA national tournaments.
GREENVILLE COLLEGE ALSO ENGAGES STUDENTS in cross-cultural learning, seeking to create a climate that values and celebrates
multiculturalism. Everyone who graduates from Greenville does so with cross-cultural
credits. Student lives are transformed through their study and experiences, such as
organizing after school programs in Kenya or participating in one of numerous overseas
semester study programs.
The Bible exhorts you to “be
transformed by the renewing of your
mind,” and many of our offerings enable
you to do just that – both in and out
of the classroom. Each summer a large
group of student leaders venture into the
wilderness of the Smokey Mountains for
a life-changing Walkabout excursion that
– through teamwork, personal reflection,
and faith – prepares them for lives of
character and service.
OUR COMBINATION OF THE LIBERATING ARTS and diverse professional programs gives you the foundation – and skills – to go places!
Greenville College effectively prepares students for careers and graduate studies, but
don’t take our word for it. Nearly 80 percent of surveyed alumni representing eight
decades of students agree. For over 120 years, our students have made a worldwide
impact - from serving as chief of neurosurgery at St. Louis University School of
Medicine to authoring the national Wilderness Act to serving as leaders in churches,
missions, and corporations.
Greenville College boasts strong academic excellence. Two of our recent graduates and
three faculty members are Fulbright Scholars. All 12 of our teacher education major programs were
given the highest rating from the Illinois State Board of Education, ninety percent of our students
applying to medical school are accepted, and virtually all of those in our “Engineering 3/2” program
have successfully completed engineering degrees at some of the best schools in the nation!

Many people say Greenville’s greatest asset is its people and the relationships
formed here, and nowhere is that truer than in our residence halls. Here, students
enjoy close friendships, in-depth discussion, guidance from resident chaplains, and fun
programs, such as Roomies Night Out and Midnight Breakfast.
