Dear Church Wardens CHURCH WARDENS’ WORKSHOPS Tuesday, 8 November, 7-9pm St Andrews Church Centre, Station Road, Churchdown,
GL3 2JTSaturday, 26 November, 10am to 12 noon Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester GL7 6JS I am writing to invite you to the annual Churchwardens’ workshops. I hope very much that you will be able to be present at one of them and look forward to seeing you
We will be exploring three particular themes. The first is a talk by Bishop Bob Evens entitled “Sustained by God's call to you” based on Matthew 9: 9-17. Secondly we will hear about the EcoChurch award scheme from Arthur Champion (Saturday) or Cate Williams (Tuesday) and then after a break for coffee there will some time spent on “the theology of buildings and place” with me followed by an introduction to the new Church Buildings Maintenance Project by Adam Klups.
As usual we will begin with a time of worship and there will be time for questions as well as time simply to meet and talk with other wardens. To assist with arrangements for the event including catering for refreshments, please either return the form below or email the details to [email protected] If you cannot attend, (or in the absence of a churchwarden in the parish) other officers of the PCC are welcome to attend. [Please specify your post if not a churchwarden]. At the time of the workshops, the position of Archdeacon of Cheltenham will be in vacancy, but churchwardens of both Archdeaconries are warmly invited. I look forward to seeing you all.
