FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK

This has been an eventful week starting on Monday with a break in and losing 2 computers. The fire in Orchardleigh Street was enormous. We could see the smoke and the flames. However everything is back to normal.

Year 5 and 6 went to visit the University of Western Sydney at their Penrith Campus. What a great day it was. They attended 3 workshops, which gave them an insight into university life. The program is called First Foot Forward – an excellent way for our students to start thinking about the future and their education.

Next will be the Family Night at the University. We hope to get as many families going as we can win 5 ipads on the night.

What great Thursday afternoons we have had with almost 80 students attending the AFL coaching. The coaches did not expect the response and are happily surprised. It looks like great fun! Thank you for supporting the program.

We have a Spelling Bee and a Public Speaking competition on as well. Please learn your speech and your spelling words – learn a few every night – you will get through them!
